“Keyes beats Hunter? That’s gonna leave a mark.”
The reason I think that is because Iowa has so many Evangelicals that when it gets down to the lowest number candidates, all things being equal, it will break for the candidate with the strong religious position, hence Alan Keyes. I don’t think this is a good thing, but I am a realist.
AS a devout Orthodox Judeo Christian, I don’t want a President ozzing out his religion. It is important they have moral values period.
The Evangelicals will be surprised to learn Keyes is a Roman Catholic and many Catholics don’t agree with him as he is wound to tight with his general beliefs.
