Does Edwards really think that in the turmoil following Bhutto’s killing his phone call was of any consequence whatsoever?

There is a larger question: Whyever did Musharraf take Edwards' call?

In fact, I doubt that he did -- Edwards probably spoke with his Deputy Assistant for Dealing With Pretentious Politicians.
