From Fox news Live
And of course a victory for the all around Conservative choice Fred Thompson.
How is second place a "stunning defeat" while third is a "victory"?
Great showing for Fred there!
If he loses in NH, McCain will gain momentum ... and candidates like Thompson and Huckabee will be banking on SC ... and Giuliani in Florida.
In NH, for your flip flopping candidate ... it’s get first place or die.!
Be gone troll!
MSNBC was saying that 60% of the caucus voters were evangelicals. Looks like Huck got 37% of them. As much as he pandered to them thats not as good as I would have thought giving the numbers.
according to the media, Thompson was not running.
Apparently, he was not in Iowa since the media seems completely unaware that he beat McVain.
If you haven’t been following the campaign, Romney spent an incredible amount of money on Iowa, tens of millions. He had the best staff money could buy and hundreds or thousands of very dedicated Mormon volunteers. He bought exponentially more advertising than all of the others combined. Everyone expected him to win easily. The fact that he could not after all that effort constitutes a real defeat.
Of course, he will spin it as no big deal!
go Rudy go...
wait, did he get 0%
LOL :P
The guy can't beat Edwards, Obama, or Clintoon.
At least GOP Iowans are slightly less insane than Rat Iowans, picking Obama of all the people under the sun.
What a place that must be to live in.
The Mitmobile? What was he thinking?
Repubs are loving Obama’s win
and
demos are loving Huckee’s win
I hope the dems send more millions down the Obama drain.
It was a win for Repubs tonight. They didn’t have to spend as much on their winner.
Third huh?
Third placers CAN win.............
1988- Bob Dole (37%), Pat Robertson (25%), George H. W. Bush* (19%), Jack Kemp (11%) and Pete DuPont (7%)
Welcome to FreeRepublic, sir.
I agree with you. Fred Thompson will be our next President.
Fred Thompson ‘08!
LOL! Between this and that funny mental picture of Alan Greenspan going around talking about his mama’s fried chicken, I’m starting to like you more. :)
Dude, will you promise to return to our planet when the primaries are over?
Christian conservatives want someone to rally around to make a statement. The fact that Huckster is not much of a conservative matters little to them. The fact that he (or Keyes or Bauer or Robertson or whoever) is not actually a viable candidate also does not bother them.
I believe that there is very little chance of Huckster (or McCain) actually winning the nomination. Romney, Giuliani, or Fred are the choices.
I am a FReadhead too!!! How did Hunter do tonite?
Hey, where’s the love?
