“I am sure Fred is completely responsible for everything said by one of his supporters on an internet forum.{/sarcasm alert}”

Bad experience breeds caution, regardless of the responsible party. There was a time when Ron Paul was admired on Free Republic - but his supporters poisoned that well in much the same way I fear Fred’s supporters are: by insisting every loss was actually a victory, that only they were true conservatives, or that some group (the RNC for them, Fox News for Thompson) was trying to hold their candidate back.

I’ll vote for Fred with no problem if he’s the nominee, but some of his supporters make it difficult to get valid information about him or his campaign.

Forget what people are saying. Go here for Thompson’s issue positions and plans, which have not changed.

Instead of seeing them as rabid supporters of the candidate (a very good candidate IMO), try to understand that it is conservatism itself that is being defended by supporting Fred Thompson, as he is the only viable candidate in the race upholding those principles.

Are Thompson supporters blocking your computer’s access to Fred’s website?

Those sorry bastages!
