New Spot: "Troops Support Ron Paul"
The Washington Post ^ | January 4, 2008; | Sarah Lovenheim

Republican Ron Paul is out with a new TV ad, set to run in New Hampshire through Tuesday's primary, stressing his military credentials.

Patriotic music booms. Soldiers salute. The announcer begins: "A proud military veteran who served our nation. Ron Paul salutes and supports our troops who protect and defend our freedom." A flag waves. The announcer continues, "But who do the troops support? Ron Paul. The record shows they're standing up for him." The ad concludes: "Ron Paul is their choice for commander-in-chief."

His campaign spokesman Jesse Benton said Paul "has long been a praised as staunch advocate for veterans' issues." Still, he "wants to bring the troops home from Iraq" because he would rather America "never again sends out brave soldiers to war unless doing so is necessary for our defense," according to Benton. Whether his anti-war message will appeal to New Hampshire veterans is hard to say.

The military supports (Cut 'n)Run Paul...

(Cut 'n)Run Paul doesn't accept money from the KKK, Stormfront and the likes of David Duke...

(Cut 'n)Run Paul doesn't actively court financial donations from the aforementioned KKK, Stormfront or David "The Nazi" Duke...

Run Paul really does support Israel and his votes in The House to the contrary are "misunderstood"...

(Cut 'n)Run Paul has much more support than the media credits.....

(Cut 'n)Run Paul is "under-represented" in the polls because ALLLLLLL the polling companies and ALLLLLL the media and news organizations got together and colluded in "under-representing" his support.....

(Cut 'n)Run Paul doesn't REALLY agree with the 9/11 Truthers he just appears on their radio shows...

(Cut 'n)Run Paul doesn't REALLLY solicit financial support from those very same Truthers that he disagrees with....

Those who disgaree with (Cut 'n)Run Paul are just "neo-cons" (code for Jews), "statists" and big government supporters".

Those who agree with Run Paul really are not acolytes and cultists but are "principled" Americans who "believe in the Constitution" except when it comes to "The Jooos"...just ask David Duke and Run Paul's fellow travellers over at Stormfront.

and last, but by no means least....

(Cut 'n)Run Paul isn't really a lunatic....he just plays one on TV.

Ron Paul was drafted into the army and never saw combat. Duncan Hunter enlisted and served in Vietnam.

Why would I vote for someone who doesn’t know who the enemies of this country are?

Ron Paul is a kook, a fool, and the last thing this country needs.

LOL! You would be an excellent candidate to head up Ron Paul’s Ministry of Silly Explanations, should he be elected, when hell freezes over and pigs are flying all over the place.

Why would our proud pro American troops support an anti-American who votes to prevent them from getting the funding they need to survive and win the WOT? I doubt if anyone other than the paulbots will believe it.

Ron Paul supports the troops, that's why he is holding rallies with the anti-war protesters outside Walter Reed hospital.

And always with his pal Cindy Sheehan.

Game, Set & Match. I'm really interested in seeing what the RuPaul acolytes on FR have to say about that....

Although, come to think of it, they'll probably tell us that the photographs were actually fakes perpetrated by the CIA and that if it wasn't for the cover-up by the media the world would know the truth.

I just gave myself a headache.

Hellooooo! How about those photographs, huh?

Cindy "It's the Joos" Sheehan ... 9/11 Truthers ... demonstrating outside Walter Reed.

You guys have so much to be proud of... but, nary a comment. You should be ashamed and embarrassed, but somehow I doubt it.

The standard explanations are:

They support the troops by wanting them to come from an illegal war.
The campaign is not responsible for all of the people who support it; they have a diverse background of followers who all believe in freedom.
I’m an evil, neocon liberal zionist who probably is pulling for Rudy.

FYI, the Sheehan pics aren’t from Walter Reed. One is at a Ron Paul rally in Ft Worth (the guy next to her in the Ron Paul shirt is Stormfront leader Jamie Kelso, the other is at a protest in Deleware.)

Did you see this?

http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2008/01/05/18470186.php

"Paul is a white nationalist of the Stormfront type who has always kept his racial views and his views about world Judaism quiet because of his political position." -American Nazi Party Commander, Bill White

For the record, I don't believe he is a nazi, but he sure does attract them.

Patriot soldiers do not.

Maybe, but a 7 yr veteran spoke on behalf of RP at our caucus meeting and another vet stood up when he'd finished.

I don't know what it is about RP that appeals to them, but according to the stats, RP has quite the following of veterans and current enlisted. Far be it from me to say that they aren't all patriots just because they support RP.

Thanks. I’m reading the additional posts now.

I was surprised to see these young men support Paul; I truly don’t understand it.

Hmmm, I thought you were going to use your vast resources to post a link disputing Ron Paul’s military donations. Well, at least you didn’t just ban me.

What stats are you talking about? From the Truth and the Spin? They look totally bogus. As a veteran myself, I can tell you that Paul would not be appreciated in the military by very many folks. In fact, as a Texan, he won’t be appreciated by many of us.
