NEW YORK The first two poll results based on survey taken in New Hampshire after the Iowa caucuses both show Barack Obama opening up a double digit lead over previous leader Hillary Clinton.
The new American Research Group poll gives Obama a 12-point lead over Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, 38% to 26%, a 16% swing since the previous poll. John Edwards moved up on Clinton, at 20%, gaining 5% from his previous percentage.
Most interesting detail deep in the ARG numbers: Hillary actually leads Obama 34% to 32% among confirmed Democrats, while he tops her 49% to 12% among independents, which may make up one-third of the tally.
Earlier today the new Rasmussen survey emerged showing a surprising, but now possibly confirmed, 10% Obama lead. Edwards trailed badly in that one.

I hope he gets the nomination. America isn’t ready to give him the top job come November.

With a defeat in S. Carolina, the only way for Hillary to obtain the nomination would be through a brokered convention.
That kind of convention would be incredibly nasty.

It's not a question of America not "being ready" for a black president, it's that Obama is a radical Leftist and closet Muslim. I would vote for Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams (or any other black man who I was confident of being as intelligent and conservative as them) in an instant

A radical Leftist alright, but I doubt he is a Muslim. He is just stuck with an unfortunate middle name. I would guess he is a liberal atheist like any other, trying to appeal to moderate Christians come election time.
Exactly what they said about Obama here in IL in ‘04. Don’t sell this kid short; he may be just an overpriviliged self-righteous snot-nosed democrat machine hack punk but he’s quite capable of pulling off a dirty trick when he needs to.
I would prefer she be terminated during the nomination process. I think she could win the election if the door opens for her. The media would use political alchemy to transform her into Maggie Thatcher's long lost daughter.
It's just not worth the risk.

Exactly my thoughts. Sever the serpent's head early on. Sure it would be deeply satisfying to watch her read her concession speech to a Republican, but it also increases the risk of her being able to edge past her Republican opponent. I can live without that little bit of pleasure.
