Morning AB...Happy New Year to you and all...

I could swear that Hillary came in third in Iowa this past week. Maybe I’m imagining things but the news all over is that she came in third. Waaaaaay behind Obama yo mama as well.

Not that I’m happy about the Huckabee thing but this is America and I dare to dream. I dare to dream that the American people will finally deliver their message to the Clintons.

For there are 300 million or so people in this country. There is no reason that this Hillary woman has a RIGHT to be our president.

Hint...when those candidates say the magic word “CHANGE”...they mean...no more CLINTONS.

Frankly if Jeb Bush, for example, were trying to get the nomination, I think the American people would tell him NO as well. Americans will give leeway for political dynasties but when too much comes in at one time they tend to push them off.

If nothing else, I’ve given Hillary a fine talking point as she travels from state to state seeking our adulation and awaiting her coronation. She can toss off the boos and losses as naught but Americans tired of political dynasties.

Yeah, that’s the ticket.

I dream that these Clintons may finally be told by the American people not to go away mad, just go away for God’s sake.

Now what we gonna do about Obama?

There you go again Tom thinking that people(other than us and a few others) actually watch these debates and and worse yet actually understand what is being said by whom and why!

You forget it's all Britanny/all soap opera/ all the time! That's all that counts no matter what TV net you tune in to.

Those are the real voters!

And seriously they are the ones that will pull the levers that elect Presidents!

Unfortunately the libs and conservatives basically offset one another.

We can make eloquent cases, prove everything we say, all but put their candidates behind bars for their misdeeds and the Britanny Spears mindset will still be electing the next Potus.

SUNDAY TALK SHOW RATINGS ANALYSIS
Weekend of December 23, 2007
NBC MEET THE PRESS....3,881,000 (34%) (-790,000)
CBS FACE THE NATION...2,586,000 (23%) (-735,000)
ABC THIS WEEK.........2,254,000 (20%) (-868,000)
FOX NEWS SUNDAY.......2,217,000 (19%) (+123,000)
CNN LATE EDIITON...... 473,000 ( 4%) (-125,000)
Preliminary data for weekend of December 30, 2007
FNS - 6PM FNC......... 720,000
MTP - 6PM MSNBC....... 217,000
Due to the Christmas/New Year's holiday Nielsen is still several days behind on publishing ratings. I finally got the ratings for 12/23 this past Wednesday and am still waiting on the live plays from 12/30. 12/23 was largely an off week for viewership due to the Christmas holiday, although the big winner was Fox News Sunday, who jumped to within 37,000 viewers (~1.5%) of This Week (likely a statistical tie) for its best performance in terms of audience share in the four months that I've been monitoring it.

This past week's preliminary cable replay data (published with the overnights, so it comes faster) shows both shows' audience up over the week prior.

Data (c)2007 Nielsen Media Research and includes viewership from cable replays.

Thanks, Laverne for that info. NH Republican Committee was wrong to demand Ron Paul’s inclusion who was shameful in yesterday’s debate.

Only thing - how dumb for the NH GOP giving the reason for Ron Paul’s exclusion for cancelling.

As much as I dislike Ron Paul, he is 4-8 points ahead of Fred Thompson in each of five polls released yesterday. Don't know how the NH GOP could reasonably support the exclusion of Ron Paul while including Fred Thompson.

Pushing the over the hill 71 year old McPain, the drive bys favorite maverick, is today’s theme.

#####

Just saw a few moments of Novak pushing McCain. Does anyone remember if he was a McCainiac in 2000?

Great take on Hunter JM.
A lot of us think the same thing. That the DBM has made a concerted effort to keep all the true conservatives,Hunter Fred and Tancredo out of the lime light as much as possible. So far it has worked. The New Media have done little to counter them, a huge mistake, IMHO.

Rod, Tom... regarding the Britney Spears thing... most of the people that watch that stuff are just as dumb and crazy as she is.

Fortunately they have a certain sense of apathy toward the election process in the primaries. It’s the general election that we have to worry about.

voters want change and do not want to go with the establishment,/I>

Somebody made a comment earlier on one of the shows about how the candidates don't get to rest between Iowa and New Hampshire this year, and it's possible that Frnk Luntz needs some sleep as well.

He needed to say something, and somehow he decided that voting for John McCain would represent change for NH voters.

Sometimes the QB should just throw the ball out of bounds or take the sack. Luntz looks like he could use some time off.

Yeah Richardson has been extremely consistent in his foreign policy mantra. He actually thinks that he can talk the terrorists to death.

I see Russert is helping his buddy McCain on the eve of the NH election. The MSM is pushing him, which should give anyone pause.

During last night's debate, McCain was clearly disconcerted by the immigration question and the "A" word. His lashing out at and interrupting Romney on the issue is an idication of his weakness on the issue. Romney and Thompson need to go after him hard on this issue, especially in South Carolina.

McCain on MTP saying what he is doing to rise in the polls is due to his telling people the truth.

He flatly said he was never for amnesty when there are quotes of him all over the place saying exactly the opposite.

He wants to restore trust in confidence in the government’s ability to do things. Hard row to hoe there, John.

Timmy rightly points out that McCain’s entire line on this is a denunciation of President Bush.

Very interesting. Let’s see if Timmy asks McCain for a definition of amnesty. I’m not holding my breath.
