LIMA, Ohio — Darla Jennings walked through the streets of south Lima last night sobbing as hundreds of people behind her called for justice after the shooting of her daughter, who was killed by police as she held her baby. Tarika Wilson, 26, was shot and her 1-year-old son was wounded when Lima police conducted a drug raid on their home Friday night, prompting members of the black community to organize a candlelight vigil and demand answers from police. "They shot my daughter and her baby," Ms. Jennings said through tears while being consoled by other family members.

You can take your poll and get yourself over to DU where they appreciate this stuff.

Actually I am a true conservative and have respect for our Constitution.

You, on the other hand, are a Neo-Con which have no more respect for the Constitution than liberals. In fact, you use exactly the same tactics and methods of argumentation as they use on DU. The only difference are the goals.

After all, for you, the Constitution is just a piece of paper.

Lt. Jim Baker said Terry had tried to use a weapon on an officer in the mid-1990s.

The chief declined to comment on whether anyone inside the home on Friday had a weapon or threatened an officer.

The rental home is owned by Lima 6th Ward Councilman Derry Glenn, who did not live there.

Me, yellow? See post 241, I am no coward and always stand up for what I believe. If I saw a guy selling crack to KIDS I would call him in. If I SUSPECTED my neighbor of selling drugs, I would mind my own business. Growing up, I had a good friend that was a former Hell’s Angel. He did time for selling coke and trafficking automatic weapons. He was reformed and we hung out, despite our age difference. I graduated high school in the early 90’s and he was a paratrooper in 1965. He taught me everything he knew about hot rods and making cars fast, ironicly information more useful in my current career than anything I learned in college. He really was a positive influence in my life. What if you lived next door and dropped a dime on this “known felon” with a young kid showing up at his door?

If I am authorized by lawful warrant to enter your home, my procedure will be exactly what I stated. I will neutralize any threat with appropriate force. That is the duty and it keeps cops alive. If your home was breached in error, (possible but not deliberate), due process is established for your reparation. From your acrimonious attitude towards police and your stereotyping of all police, it is apparent that you are extremely narrow minded in you capacity to be objective. Don’t let it get you killed.

“Pot will be legal in most states in the next twenty years”

I wouldn’t doubt that the way the liberals and socialists are undermining all types of traditional morality.
Maybe you won’t mind it in twenty years when they outlaw guns and put abortion clinics in the high schools.

Shouldn't this woman's family and friends be concerned about her having six children and trafficking drugs BEFORE she was shot?! They are now trying to portray her as a terrific mother and upstanding citizen.

I wonder how many other people's children she sold drugs to?!

2 Lima residents arrested in drug bust near Kalida

KALIDA, Ohio - Two Lima residents were arrested Thursday after a drug bust that netted crack cocaine with a street value of more than $24,000, authorities said.

Johnny Hall, 27, and Tarika Wilson, 22, will be arraigned Monday in Putnam County Court on charges of trafficking in cocaine. They are being held in the Putnam County jail.

They were arrested after sheriff's deputies and members of the Multi-Area Narcotics Team intercepted a drug deal near Kalida. Authorities said they confiscated nearly eight ounces of crack cocaine.

You are being duped buddy. Either that or you are just DU.

The poll was commissioned by a pro-legalization group but it was a scientific poll done by Zogby.

Do you really think the DEA or a government agency would commission a such a poll or if they did announce the results?

As far as I know noone is disputing the results.

Bottom line is that you do not have to be a druggie to support legalization. Some people just realize how much of a failure this war has been and that maybe another approach might work instead of being stuck on stupid. It makes no sense that alcohol and cigarettes are legal but pot is not, especially considering that the other two drugs are much more harmful.

I not support people chewing tobacco either, but that does not mean it should be illegal. There may be other ways to handle it. In any case, 40 years into the drug war and so far nothing has been accomplised.

One thing is sure: I would proudly and definitely inform on a neighbor selling drugs whether or not it’s Hell’s Bells or a local stripper or a local business owner or pastor.

And if the neighbor found out...and threatened me??...I might mop up my front steps myself.

On August 12, 2004, Wilson was driving a vehicle with John Hall, Jr. as her only passenger. Wilson drove Hall to a park where Hall sold 237.41 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant. Hall then got back into the vehicle, and Wilson drove off. However, unbeknownst to Hall and Wilson, the entire buy was being monitored by the police. Hall and Wilson were arrested as they attempted to leave the park.

As a result, Wilson was charged with one count of complicity to trafficking in drugs in violation of R.C. 2925.03(A). Because of the amount of drugs involved, the violation was a felony of the first degree. R.C. 2925.03(C)(4)(g). Subsequently, the State amended the charge against Wilson to reflect only an amount of drugs of between one and five grams. This dropped the

Case No. 12-04-15

charge to third degree felony. R.C. 2925.03(C)(4)(c). Wilson then entered a plea of guilty to the reduced charge.

Yeah, I noted that several times.

There is basically only one reason for him to decline comment IMO.

The woman was a known drug trafficker not some innocent victim. The MSM again tries to make it sound like she was an upstanding and unsuspecting victim. I doubt she cared how many children’s lives she ruined!

Is it really the job of government to enforce morality? Before 1900, there were no drug laws and I think people were much more moral than they are today.

I worked for the Federal Government for 13 years and I can guarantee you these people are incompetent at everything they do.

Actually most of the arguments that are made for drug laws can be used to support gun prohibition In fact, many are virtually identitcal.

I think the rise of liberalism is a very bad thing, but sometimes the methods being used to stop it are either ineffective or ironically can actually be used to further liberalism.

Having a SWAT Team on every corner actually helps their cause more that ours, and puts the government at war with many otherwise normal citizens.

“Drug war” is misnomer COINED BY NIXON? IN THE 70’S WHEN DRUG USE INCREASED DRAMATICALLY. It cannot be “won” in the short term. A healthy society must be vigilant against those forces that undermine its health. So, the struggle will continue....

Good people have been fighting evil for THOUSANDS of years.

This is another form of that struggle. It will never end.

Your other premise is flawed. Alcohol and tobacco are not nearly as wickedly dangerous as drugs. Drugs are far more insidious than alcohol or tobacco use. THC in weed is a potent debilitaing substance. You know that yet you support its use. That says it all.

If you are authorized by (unconstitutional) warrant to enter my home, I have no doubt you would shoot me if I were cleaning my weapon as in post 148. It is most important to carry out your duty and keep cops alive while they grow their ranks and payroll. Actually the breach of my home was deliberate. It was an act of personal vengence. I understand that $6,ooo cash, the whole squad sitting around my computer enjoying videos I made with my girlfriend while I was on the couch in handcuffs, the abrogation of my 2nd and fourth amendment rights for the period of a year and the theft of my personal property is adequate reparation for smoking a joint after work.
Am I so narrow minded? If it was one cop, that would be understandable. When a dozen of them cart off you belongings, including the only memento you have of your grandmother, it is a concerted effort. If this happened to you, would you gleefully look at the next cop as your savior? I hardly think so.

I am a sane, hard working citizen. I understand I was wronged, but I don’t think that gives me any right to be beligerent. If I am out socially and I find that I am talking to a cop, I just walk away. I don’t go on a shooting spree. In fact, outside of one shouting match with a detective, I have not mentioned this outside of the anonimity of FreeRepublic. I understand that you will put me in my place. If I make too much noise I will be pulled over and railroaded.
Do you routinely kill people who don’t like cops? If so let me know what county you are in and I will stay away.
As far as me getting killed???????
Is that a threat?
I know the difference between a wormy apple and a diseased oarchard. Not all cops are bad, 2 of my cousins are Staties and my best friend that I have known since I was 2 is a cop. But I don’t think I can be blamed for the disdain that I feel for the uniform. End the war on drugs and look for actual crimes to solve. they are out there, murders, rapes, extortion. They arent as easy as looking in trash for a weed seed or putting one there to excuse a raid, but they might do the world some good.

It seems they are trying to defend a KNOWN DRUG TRAFFICKER! She was convicted in 2004 for selling to a narc with her latest sperm donor.

My point being that wasn’t her first ‘run-in’ with trafficking drugs. She obviously didn't care what happened to her children or anyone else's children since she was selling drugs on the street (only that time she sold them to a narc).
