"This does not prevent state from passing laws against cocaine"

This raid was conducted by local authorities enforcing state law. Based on that fact, I assume you approve.

Where is the Amendment to the US Constitution guranteeing my right to crack cocaine?

Kinda betraying your lack of understanding of the Constitution there. Where in Art 1 Sect 8 does it GIVE the FedGov the power to run a "War on Drugs"? It required an Amendment for them to prohibit alcohol. Taxing authority alone cannot be used as a de facto prohibition as ruled by the SCOTUS in the 1922 Bailey v Drexel case.

A lot of the same police State tactics dreamed up to fight the drug war are being used to go after firearms owners. After all, they both use "Commerce Clause" penumbras and emanations for their "authority".

So yeah.... you missed a LOT apparently.

These pro-pot types keep dragging out this 4-year-old survey and misrepresenting the results. Yes, 41% think marijuana should be regulated and treated like alcohol. But that's not the whole truth.

Strongly agree with legalization -- 23.5%.
Somewhat agree with legalization -- 17.4%.
Somewhat disagree with legalization -- 11.4%.
Strongly disagree with legalization -- 45.3%.

Here's the bottom line: Nearly half the public strongly opposes legalization, and less than a quarter strongly supports it.

But drape me in the US flag, bozo.

Yeah, because hiding behind the flag works so well absent the basic principles that make the flag MEAN something.

There's simply not enough information in this story to give us the whole picture.

If Mrs. Crackhead had been picked up on the street, there would have been no shooting at all. Converge, subdue, arrest. None of this no-knock raid crap that has gotten so many people killed.

I would be willing to bet my entire life savings (I'm mid-career and already have enough to retire comfortably on) that this woman deserved to be in jail for some reason or another. I'm betting that there was some initiation of force/fraud/theft that she committed that had verifiable damage and an actual victim.

But, she didn't deserve to die by getting shot to death by the current version of the Schutzstaffel "fighting" a war they have no Constitutional authority to fight.

Otherwise it's just one-liner after another.

Didn't read a lot then did you. Last couple weeks I haven't been on much so I kept my postings short. Most things don't require a novella to explain.

"As far as I know noone is disputing the results."

I am.

I'm disputing the presentation of the results. It's biased and incomplete. It totally distorts the actual results.

But, what do you expect from a Soros-backed, pro-legalization group? The truth?

She was gonna start college Monday. Which Monday, the article didn't say.

Take your pack of cigarettes into the shower with you in the morning. Keep them as "fresh" as possible though.

You will have so much trouble lighting them your reticular activating circuitry will drag your attention to other more important stuff.

Yeah, the term started out OK, but it ended up being applied ONLY to Jewish Republicans or Jewish Conservatives.

Conservatives and Republicans didn't do that but the neo-Nazi leftwingtards did. They're now the core of the Democrat party so you've gotta' remember that when you use the term "Neocon" that's how they'll interpret what you had to say.

Best to not use it here because almost every Freeper knows how the term is used "out there".

You can’t assume that cops murdered anyone either.

The cops admitted they killed an unarmed person. That's murder, at least when one of us peasants do it. And it's why I call them "thugs." What do YOU call it when a bunch of people break into someone's house and kill someone?

Diesel’s fault?

I guess that put steam out of business. Shame. I loved those old boilers on wheels.

I’m just telling you exactly like it was back in the bad old days of 1967-1968.I lived it.I knew the speed freaks and Wyamine eaters. Its very personal with me.
I too have a lot of qualms about the state being mommy.Sadly, way too many people out there need SOMEONE to intervene since we are not all responsible upstanding conservatives who usually think rationally.

"Funny...I thought the penalty for something like thgat was jail time....not death..."

Not as far as the WODers are concerned. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear how the child got what he deserved as well.

If this is the result of the WOD, it ain't worth it. One can have laws against drug possession, sales and use without taking enforcement to this level.

Very true about the parents being the first line of defense against drug abuse, not the government.
Yet in the hood, responsible adults are few and far between.Even in wealthy areas, too many parents are away from home far too much and the kids are ineptly raising themselves.

Absolutely correct.

We don't need our law enforcement playing army in our neighborhoods...

There are many other ways to address the issue, or even make an arrest.

Well, I know I cannot get the truth from the DEA or ONDCP or any state government, so you have to look somewhere.

I do not approve no-knock warrants under any circumstance. The 4th Amendment was specifically written to prevent no-knock searches because the British used to do them, thus the knock and announce rule, but the cowards at SCOTUS recently approved them anyway. They are vile and evil and an abomination on this once great republic.

SCOTUS was castrated by FDR, and serve no useful purpose anymore. They should be disbanded.

Lima 6th Ward Councilman Derry Glenn owns the house but did not live there. It was a rental home he had, he said.

At least the neighbors aren't blaming the Councilman or the dealer.
