It is unfortunate that this person was killed. I reserve my judgment until the facts are established. If this woman raised a weapon at an officer she brought this on herself and the child. This has not been established. One fact that has been established is that it was a lawful warrant and drugs were recovered. The perp has a history of drugs and violence and the police will act accordingly. The moral of this story is avoid people who sell drugs illegally.

At least one of their SWAT Officers is on the board of the Ohio Tactical Officers Association for the best in tactical training.

I’ve read the all the vitriolic, but I haven’t seen the facts. My real concern is that no one here has expressed any concern over the voting decisions that have led to electing the people who made the laws and chose the people they wanted to enforce them. That being said, I think we would all do better to spend less time making allegations without benefit of facts and more time deciding who we want to represent our interests at every level of government.

If the person who was killed and the so called grandmother really cared we would not be reading this. The daughter and her child and or children would not have been there in the first place. My sympathy has to go to the officer who pulled the trigger, they will go through an investigation that happens anytime deadly force is used and no matter what the outcome he or she will always see the faces of the deceased woman and especially of the child. I don't always agree with law enforcement tactics but she had to know illegal activities were going on and was probably part of those activities and should not have subjected her child to that.

This is very sad - but it is also sad this community was not “on edge” sooner. They should have been “on edge” when drugs and gangs entered their neighborhood.
I’m sure the drugs and gangs are responsible for many more deaths than police raids are.

"I am very upset about the way this happened," he said. "I feel we need a thorough investigation. The first murder in 2008 came from a police officer." The War on Drugs and the War on Poverty have done SO well -- maybe we should have them start a War on Freedom! [ </sarc> -- maybe ]

Lima 6th Ward Councilman Derry Glenn owns the house but did not live there. It was a rental home he had, he said. At least the neighbors aren't blaming the Councilman or the dealer.
