I suspect your parents are still alive. As someone who lost a mother at a young age who had a lot of flaws herself, there is no way anyone could ever replace her. Those children will never even reach 20% of what they could have been had their mother stayed alive, as flawed as she may have been. Nothing can replace the love of your mother, and I had a great and understanding step mother. Maybe that is why this case has affected me so much. I know what they children are in for.
