I’m hoping for a NH win by McCain, just to confuse the delegate count and muddy the waters. Go Fred in South Carolina!
As much as I hate to do it (since I hate McCain worse than any of them), I have to agree with you and hope McCain wins. It's probably the best way to keep this race wide open.

Put me under that column of thought as well. I think a NH win for McCain helps Fred...

You are wrong. If McCain wins in NH, he is the prohibitive favorite to win the Republican nomination.

mcCain will next win in Michigan with independents and RATS crossing over.

In SC, Thompson and Huckabee will split the conservative vote, and McCain will win there, too.

Then it’s over.

I don't know that I hope he'll win, but if he does you can be sure the media will get it all wrong. New Hampshire allows independents to vote in the Republican primary. If they end up pushing him to victory, it won't necessarily say a thing about Republican voters.

South Carolina will be a wake-up.

If McCain comes in second in NH, he's done, and thats good for Thompson. I think most of the McCain vote down in SC would go to Thompson.

MCCain has the media vote in his pocket, so if you want to take them out of the picture, you gotta eliminate McInsane. Huckabee's base is too narrow and he's not going anywhere and the rest of the field is unappealing to the media, in which case Thompson will have a decent shot at the nomination. IMO.
