unmarked cars are imperative for a number of operations. traffic control being one of them.

shouldve been,

if it ain’t red, don’t stop until you get to a well-lit public area

similar in MI. if there’s no blues, they can’t legally stop you.

i got one of the jerks i went to school with arrested over that after he followed me all thru a subdivision in his truck that had volunteer fire fighter flashers on it.

“no real cop will blame you for that.”

I used to believe this but after posting this question on several “ask a cop” bulletin boards I realized that there are a lot of cops out there that do everything in their power to crush you if you tried it.

But if you follow the LEOs advice, you will either be Tazed extensively, or shot, if the person pulling you over is a real “Law” Enforcement Officer.

And therein lies the rub. If you believe the lights, a sick bastard will kill you.

And if you don’t, a power-crazed, state-sanctioned sick bastard will kill you. Or ruin your life via the judicial system. And get away with it.

So tell me, what is the normal citizen to do? There is no right answer! We have been told to obey. But obey whom?! There is no wiggle room, and guessing wrong means death! That is NOT what we were Founded upon!

And we wonder why so many people aren’t believing the official line. I can’t tell if the guy in the unmarked car is a real LEO. And I’m not about to take the chance.

As a police officer, you don’t get the other end of this equation, and never will.

Today, people like you don’t get the idea that we the people don’t know whether or not the person barking orders is a real LEO or not. If we guess wrong, we die at the hands of the State. If not, we die at the hands of a sicko. Some choice, eh?

If we believe the person with the badge, we have a 50/50 chance the person is a sworn officer. Better yet, we have a 50/50 chance the officer actually understands that he/she is not a roving Constitution free zone, where the LEO believes that the US citizen’s rights vanish in LEO’s exalted presence (in the name of ‘officer safety’). Our odds are not good. But as long as YOU get to go home safe, right? Doesn’t matter how many citizens you kill in the course of your duties. As long as YOU go home safe. At the risk of some weasel involving their misunderstanding Godwin’s Law, that is what the G-D Nazis used to think. And the Stalinists. And Mao’s adherents. The State is NEVER to be trusted.

And LEOs are agents of the State.

So we should trust you... why?

dude you are so far gone it ain't even close.

how many times have you been pulled over by a fake cop? how about someone you know? that is the reason you read stories about this kind of stuff. it just doesn't happen too often.

and my guess is that if you are faced with a fake cop, you'll know it. but you seem pretty gung-ho about going out in some sort of blaze of glory and stopped trusting anything that has to do with the gov't some time ago.

i'd love to know how many truly innocent people die at the hands of police officers yearly.

i've put myself in harms way for complete strangers and i'll do it again.

I have actually been pulled over... never (I follow all traffic laws. If I ever get tagged for something, its because some officer has a quota. I value the security clearance I have had for more that 20 years far too much to play this game). Let alone by a fake cop. You may not believe it (and I really doubt you will, as you view everyone as a criminal that you have not yet caught)...

But there have been many citizens pulled over by such an animal. Some of them end up raped, assaulted, or just plain dead. Google it if you doubt. So if I get pulled over by some entity for whatever reason, it is easy for me to deduce one of two things. One: the person pulling me over isn’t a sworn officer, and is going to try to kill me and mine, or;

2: The police officer pulling me over is willing to lie his/her rectum off to get credit for a bust for some danged thing or another, and is therefore a criminal willing to kill me and mine.

The answer to either is simple. Me and mine are worth more than the criminal trying to pull me over.

Blaze of glory? No, boy. I have every reason to live. I have grandchildren. And I shoot straight. I have practiced much since I joined (and ETS’d from) the Army. Twenty years ago.

Hundreds of people have been killed by ‘police’ officers in the course of their duties. The numbers exceed the number of dead officers every year. Look it up. The numbers are really there. As long as you throw out the “He was reaching for his empty waistband’ ‘good’ shoots.

Somehow, I doubt you are willing to do that. Because the supposed perp “might” have had something in his/her empty waistband.

More fisherman die every year than police officers. And there are 900K plus police officers in this country. There aren’t 900K fisherman.

Do the math. Police kill more innocents than police killed. Unless you think shooting some 9 year old coming down the stairs on New Years Eve is justified. Or do you think all 9 year olds are hardened killers?

Don’t have one. And your point in asking that is what, exactly?
