100% failure rate, but fun to watch.
In Hart’s Location:
Obama = 9
Clinton = 3
Edwards = 1
McCain = 8
Huckabee = 5
Paul = 4
Romney = 1
You are SO right. We go to CPAC every year and meet hundreds of wonderful conservative young people. But I fear they are in the minority in this country...
This is just anecdotal, but we were up in New Hampshire this weekend (Nashua/Manchester area)... I was astounded to see hordes of young people everywhere (in bars, restaurants, even at events for Republican candidates, in our hotel, etc.) wearing Obama buttons. And they were very enthusiastic.
The "youth vote" for Kerry never really materialized in 2004, but I would bet it's going to make a difference in 2008.
Tweeners = Born the first five years of the 1960s. Tweeners started school in the ‘60s, became teenagers in the ‘70s and left school in the ‘80s.
Me, too!
Thank you for the link to that very interesting article. I’ve always known the history of Dixville Notch and early voting, but didn’t know much about “Hart’s Location”...
Neither did I. We both do now, thanks to CharlesWayneCT.
Who knew it? Bill Richardson’s got a relative working at Dixville Notch...apparently.
We shouldn’t automatically assume that Obama will automatically get the black American vote either. The republican party should also target them as well. Obama and black Americans are not of the same culture. I’m sure black Americans already can see this.
Yeah, I'm surprised and disappointed about that as well. As I said in another post: Are they choosing an American Idol winner, or Commander-in-Chief of our military and Leader of the Free World? Good grief...
I think I heard on Fox News that these areas of NH of very independent.
I wonder if there is a signature requirement and if he did not make it.
Boomers were from the years 1946-1964
I think those born from 1965-1980 are Generation X. So I guess tweeners could fit into that category between 1960-65.
Who knows? My generation was the “silent generation”. Maybe that’s part of the problem. LOL.
Well Hunter flew in to Dixville Notch, didn’t he? I guess he just didn’t get a vote.
Long-shot GOP hopeful Rep. Duncan Hunter attended the vote in Dixville Notch, where results were announced before 12:06 a.m.
"It epitomizes people-to-people politicking," Hunter said minutes before the votes were cast.
Dixville Notch results:
Giuliani 1
Romney 2
McCain 4 winner
Richardson 1
Edwards 2
Obama 7 winner
Clinton ZERO
Hart’s Location results:
Obama 9 winner
Clinton 3
Edwards 1
McCain 8 winner
Huckabee 5
Paul 4
Romney 1
Wow. That’s pretty cool.
Hannity and Colmes had the worst Republican strategist I’ve ever seen im my life. I’m embarassed they’d have someone like her on tv tonight. She made Juan Williams look good.
