Why are you worried about Rudy? So far, all he has done is nothing except to slide down in the polls.

You’re just now getting that feeling? Look at those idiots crying and thrusting their babies forward for Obama to touch them.

And the GOP candidate must be one whose conservative principles can be contrasted to Ubama’s.

Exactly. A real conservative candidate will win in 2008...a RINO will only make it easier for the DNC to win since non-issues would become the focal point, and/or, “I’m more liberal than you are”

McCain seems to operate in this weird universe where he believes his own words and actions won’t be recalled by the same voters he routinely mocks on MSNBC.

Its pretty bizzare, when you think about it.

McCain is a lying lib. ....and a perpetually angry one, too. Amazing that he thought he could co-author liberal legislation with two of the biggest liberals in the Senate (Kennedy and Feingold) and think it wouldn’t hurt him in the GOP primaries. Arrogance combined with near-complete political tone-deafness.

The over riding point is to keep Obama from becoming Commander in Chief. I have two sons on active duty and I certainly don’t want them serving under a President Obama.

I’m not sure how that was an answer. Maybe you aren’t serious about “sitting out the election.” Hope not.

Whatever happened to Reagan's 11th commandment? "Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican."

One of the most enduring things about the Gipper was his positive approach. Does anyone remember? "Morning in America." "Our best days are ahead of us not behind."

Obama is perhaps the only candidate campaigning in this fashion with his "Audacity of Hope." Hillary and Bill attack him suggesting he is giving people false hope and his response is, "There is no such thing."

The person that is best at creating a positive vision of the future and getting people to believe that he can lead America there can win. If none of our canidates learns how to do this then get ready for 8 years of President Obama. Hope is always victorious.

Obama knocking out Hillary would be a big help for the GOP

Why do you think this?

I suppose we are expected to have understood his “path to citizenship” for illegals to mean something other than AMNESTY!? If you don't plan to "round them up" for deportation, you plan on allowing them to stay indefinately.

Although he hasn't been clear on what price he'd put on US citizenship, RINO McCain proposes having them pay a fine and they have instantly redeemed themselves of a FELONY...which is AMNESTY:

Amnesty (from the Greek amnestia, oblivion) is an act of justice by which the supreme power in a state restores those who may have been guilty of any offence against it to the position of innocent persons. It includes more than pardon, inasmuch as it obliterates all legal remembrance of the offence. The word has the same root as amnesia.

I’m not worried about Rudy.

I was trying to make the point that when the elites acted as if he was a viable candidate for the Republican Party it was such an insult that the base turned away in revulsion and the elites burned some bridges. The elites went too far, they insulted the based. The base felt like suckers.

It's not just bizarre. McCain has mental problems. We simply cannot nominate this man. He's not mentally up to the task and we will be in a world of hurt long before the general election when his memory lapses and his trouble with control of his emotions makes it apparent to everyone but him that he should not be President....and that's apart from the fact that he's been a good enough Democrat that they wanted him to switch parties and run for them.
