NEW YORK The Miami Herald announced that it is outsourcing part of its copy editing and layout design to Mindworks, a prepress production firm based in New Delhi, India.
The Herald will also outsource advertising production to Express KCS, based in California. Other Mc Clatchy Co. newspapers, such as The Sacramento Bee, Modesto Bee and Fresno Bee already use the services of Express KCS.
Mindworks will be in charge of a weekly section of Broward County community news and some other advertising sections as part of a test phase,
Express KCS, which has a production facility in India, also handles ad production for the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the San Jose Mercury News.
