Hillary Clinton has finally done it.
She has connected with people on an emotional level, and this time, it's not hatred or mistrust she's inspiring, it sympathy, altruism, and that mothering instinct.
Overnight, Hillary Clinton became everyone's new girlfriend, a vulnerable, innocent woman, just trying her best to save the country. Who wouldn't want to rush in and lend her a shoulder to cry on?
"Oh Hillary," stated a previously Obama-leaning supporter. "We didn't mean to hurt you so. Let us make it up to you. It's going to be all right. We'll protect you."
"I'm going right down to that New Hampshire primary and pulling that lever for you." stated another. "When your best friend is in need, you don't hesitate. You get up and do whatever they want you to. It''s a no-brainer."
But are Hillary's tears for real? Or is this just a new twist on the Crying Game?
"Who cares?" says a Hillary outsider who refused to be named. "It worked, didn't, it?"
Worked, it did. Hillary has knocked Oprah's former girlfriend, Barack Obama, right out of the park.
It’s a crying shame, isn’t it!
It worked in New York, New York, and as they say, if you can make it there, you can make it everywhere, and that’s what she’ll do in November! Be sure to watch 60 Minutes the Sunday before the election. It’ll make you cry, I gore-antee!
The Bast wants to be everybody’s girlfriend! Finally, a winning strategy!
That's what makes it so scary.
next thing will be Rudy, Mitt and the Breck Girl crying and talking about change...
“I’m going right down to that New Hampshire primary and pulling that lever for you.” stated another. “When your best friend is in need, you don’t hesitate. You get up and do whatever they want you to. It’’s a no-brainer.”
No lady, you are a no-brainer.
What happened is that the Clinton machine brought thousands into the State for the primary thus stuffing the ballot boxes. Clinton got 2/3 of the vote of the old, uneducated women, many of whom drove up from Massachusetts.
Sorry, Ben, we didn't "keep it." In the end, we just pissed it away.
I guess that's what Hillary needs, and is counting on.
The ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing!
If HC were to become my "new girlfriend" I'd learn to eat lead, specifically that of .357 flavor....
Hillary has found a new way to connect with people emotionally. She'll be tougher to beat now that the love affair with Obama is over.
How presidential!!
Say, where’s the media on this angle? They were all over it after the hostage non-crisis in one of the campaign offices a month or two ago.
Big Bill stomps around like an indignant, protective husband in a fairy tale. And Hillary plays the woman card. And people take the bait!!
Well..there are 48 more states. Until now I haven’t been too worried about Hillary’s unelectability. Today I’m not so sure. :~0
I would say “in all fairness”, but since there is no fairness with the Clintons I will just say that Hilary is just following the boys with ‘the crying game’.
Mitt did it a couple of weeks ago too. And of course, hubby Bill’s a pro at it.
I think there were a couple of other Republicans who engaged in the crying game not too long ago as well.
Women respond to men's tears as "Oh, that's cute, he isn't afraid to show his emotions." They don't feel a need to "mother" him, and if they do, they will lose respect for the man.
With a woman, it's different. The "mother" in them comes to the rescue. The "best friend" in them drops everything to lend support. They become "comrades in arms," willing to fight or sacrifice for the "poor victim" in order to express solidarity and show that they care.
Hillary has finally discovered that she is female and that she can call upon these hidden resources in times of need.
Expect to see her exploit this new-found sisterhood for all it's worth.
Good points.
As a conservative woman, the reaction I had was that I felt Hilary was being a crybaby, because for once, she wasn’t getting her way.
How do we convince women in general, and the Oprah crowd in particular, that Hillary is just using them?
