I freely admit I've been critical of GWBs diplomatic efforts over the years, but this week is a classic. From Condi issuing statements 2 days ago about Jerusalem and an international force in the West Bank that no one understands from a policy perspective, to his concern about innocent life.
That's nice, but who the *ell does GWB think those rockets are aimed at.
They're aimed at innocent life. Kinder in Sdrot are as innocent as workers in the towers on 9/11

How Israel deals with the rocket attacks I would hope is done in a way that not only protects herself, but worries about innocent life. And I'm convinced the Prime Minister does. He understands he has an obligation to protect Israel. He also understands that he's got to be circumspect and reasonable about how he does it, so that innocent people don't suffer
There already is an independent palestinian state, and that state is Jordan. There is no room for yet another “statelet” shoe-horned between them, one that is guaranteed to be an outlaw territory ruled by outlaws.
There is similarly no room for an outlaw territory shoe-horned between Israel and Egypt. These territories are not viable as states, and never will be. The State Department is wasting year after year chasing something that will never be, and in the meantime innocents go on dying.
The only peace there is in the middle east is the peace that Israel enforces within its borders. It is a peace that must be defended every hour of every day.
