La batalla continúa
Los ganadores de las elecciones primarias en el estado de New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton (demócrata) y John McCain (republicano), apoyan una reforma migratoria que incluya una vía de legalización para la mayoría de los indocumentados que vivan en Estados Unidos.
Pero han advertido que para ello, quienes califiquen deberán cumplir requisitos, entre ellos hablar inglés, pagar multas y carecer de antecedentes criminales, entre otros.

Excuse me, but it was Republican voters who chose John McCain over his rivals in New Hampshire not the liberal mainstream media. You seem to lack faith in the democratic process.
Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill was not actually amnesty, right?

While people like my wife waited several years to come here legally and gain true citizenship, these folks who broke the law, just pay a toll and they are in.

I doubt most Americans know that McCain-Feingold can be used to censor the internet. The liberal media hides this from the public. The liberal media does more damage by what they leave out like all the pro-Amnesty actions, tax raises, expansion of government power of the liberals like Huckabee, McCain, and Hillary.
And I doubt that most Americans know that McCain tried to give Amnesty to 30 million illegals.
We should give up on it and concentrate on electing conservative Republicans to Congress in 2008

Ok not give up on the presidential race but concentrate on the congressional races. It seems the media has everyone talking about the presidential election like it was a sporting event. And that’s all we are talking about when there is little hope of getting a conservative, strong on the border ,limited government conservative president.
Republican does not equal Conservative.

Let’s bring it back down to earth. I know its all about cheap labor because my extended family competes for jobs with illegals willing to work for far less.
I appreciate legal immigrants, and those who are in the process to become citizens.
If 13 million can make it here illegally, then 13 million can make it home the same way. (Have them apply, and stand at the end of the line.)

Mass media perpetually stirs the pot trying to get the masses emotionally hooked for the sake of ratings. Presidential elections get exploited as one of the precious few things that all 300 million Americans share in common.
You obviously don’t understand the definition of amnesty.

McCain called it amnesty in 2003 when he was pushing the same junk. His quote was posted earlier. It is what it is and your saying otherwise doesn’t change the result.
I bet you’ve been about as active an advocate for securing the border and enforcing the law as McCain has been. Is that what you like about McCain? Because you know he’ll never do anything about illegal immigration except give them AMNESTY?
