They just explained that Ron Paul declined their invitation.

But he consistantly was willing to take heat for a lot of very unpopular issues. He took stands that virtually no other politician was willing to make. And unlike a lot of other politicians I am not aware of any personal scandles involving him or his family. Yes, he made one compromise and that is not good but if you can’t support Santorum can you support any politician ever?

Luntz’ group says that he won but may be too little, too late and still doesn’t necessarily appear to be the guy who will win in November.

You know that statement had to be right up there with some of the stupid things huckster and paul said. If it is late for fred just were in hell does that leave judy.

Does the Bible passage also say the husband submits to his wife? According to Huckabee, yes.

Did he say that?

If he did he flunked Bible 101 and should not be a pastor in any church. The only reference is a general one of believers in the church receiving admonition from one another. In the context of marriage the Bible is clear consistent : Wives submit.

I think Romney’s brilliance trumps all other factors in the US of 2009 and makes him the best choice,

It's time for Rush Limbaugh to "put his money where his mouth is" and become a Player.

I could be wrong but I don't think that Rush has ever endorsed a candidate during the primaries. He may this time but I doubt it.

Just a point here, a general comment about this debate.

Consider the range of issues, consider the amazing display of knowledge. Consider how fluent the debaters were—and then, contrast this debate with any Democrat debate.

It’s like tonight is the red meat, the dem debates are just pink cotton candy.

Telling.

The cases are different because his daughter was hooked up to some sort of more extensive machines - not sure if he has explained exactly what machines - which were taken off and then she died. Whearas Terri Schievo was living on her own she simply needed food and water which she was denied until she died of dehydration.

Whether its too little too late will not be decided by 15 people at the Citadel. It won’t be decided until ALL of us decide.
Thompson is a great wonderful man. I believe every word he says and believe that he would be a wise and great President.
Romney is also a favorite of mine. He would be my second choice after Fred.
McCain is too needy of the praise of the press and others to be president. He doesn’t lead; he joins. His gang of 14, his vicious attacks on Rumsfeld, his pandering to the worst of the other party AND to the “immigrants” makes me write him off my list for all time. Plus I’m not sure he’s entirely well.
Huckabee is loathesome. He’s always got that big smile showing all those sharp white teeth. Don’t trust him. Never have; never will.
Rudy is a good man and a sincere person. I hope he does well.
Ron Paul says some startling things but makes good sense in some areas. This alone makes him totally unelectable.

“Yep. The right to life for children and adults is a states rights issue. The disability community would like to know the feds would protect them from activist judges and the euthanasia agenda. Huckabee will not protect the disabled from forced exits. Euthanasia is illegal but it happens every minute somewhere. He’s not gonna intervene. Disabled Americans vote too as you know. They don’t want their president to turn his/her back on anyone.”

Wow, now I’m puzzled why anyone would support him.

Compassion's great. Unfortunately, Huckabee's brand of taxpayer-funded "compassion" isn't conservative or Christian.

“FRED needs to come loaded for bear, and he needs to unload on Huckster unmercifully.”

That he did.

FRED WON.

I hope it makes a difference and get people to take another look at how bad the Huckster is ...
1. Soft-on-crime Governor who went on a pardon/commutation spree
2. Pro-instate-tuition for illegal aliens and for other giveaways - his record on immigration stinks
3. Fiscal liberal Tax-and-spender as Governor
4. Dissembled about his record when challenged
5. Not a conservative, hurt conservatives in Ark.
6. Ethics issues, taking public money for private use
7. Flipflopper, on immigration, Cuba and other issues
8. An incompetent Jimmy Carteresque boob on foreign policy
9. Will get beaten easily by the Democrats
10. Nanny-staters who supports
