Has the DA actually confirmed this himself?

The nature of this story and the goofy bail bond company are almost to good to be true.

BTW - Just because AP, Fox or whoever runs the story doesn’t mean they actually have a real source with a real name and a real connection to the story.

“Source” can mean absolutely nothing nowadays.
