You’re not the least bit wrong - the whole FT is.
They evangelize and propagandize, but cover up the flaws.
They overblow the evils of the IRS and income tax, and claim that no such problems could ever afflict the FT.

That should tell you all you need to know.

This reponse I'm posting to is obviously propaganda. X doesn't bother to address the calculator nor the facts at issue. Notice he only has time to accuse other people of being disingenuous.

There are flaws in the FT, as there would be in any system of taxation. Retirees are probably more likely to be hurt than others, especially if they have all of their retirement funds in after tax accounts.

Those issues, and yours, should be addressed in the final write ups of the bill. That is what congress is supposed to do - debate these issues before enacting the legislation.
