Sorry - no thanks.

I’ll not vote for this opportunistic abortion-peddler.

Is that why Daily Kos is telling the Dems to cross over and vote for Romney? Because he is the “best.” Yeah, right.

I predict the results of the MI primary will be very similar to the results of the NH primary.

What say you?

If he is our nominee, I'll vote for him.

I won't vote for Huckabee under any circumstances.

I'm glad for the endorsment. I am inclined to Fred Thompson, but I hope all of us here see what is going on. The media, along with the DNC (not much difference) is trying to shape this entire election.

They want to decide not only who gets to run, but also who wins. Their attempt at control is more brazen than anything I have ever seen. It's breathtaking.

No conservatives or conservative positions will be allowed a voice. They are coordinated and we are in big trouble here.

But there's no doubt whom state Republicans should vote for - Mitt Romney.

That'll be a cold day in Hell.

Romney retreats on gun control (Misleading headline)

Excerpt:
"But perhaps the most significant gun legislation Romney signed as governor was a 2004 measure instituting a permanent ban on assault weapons. The Legislature mirrored the law after the federal assault weapons ban, which was set to expire. According to activists at the time, the bill made Massachusetts the first state to enact its own such ban, and Romney hailed the move.

"These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense," he was quoted as saying. "They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."

Apparently, a ban on semi-automatic "assault weapons" isn't enough for this liberal gun-grabber.

You Romney haters better be careful. If he should get the nomination, I’m sure you will not vote or go for Hitlery or OBBBBBBBBBama. Better tone it down before your vile stance will poison lots of voters and we will end up like we did with the Senate and House.

The most serious problem facing the country at the moment is slowing economy, declining house prices, softness in job growth, weakening consumer confidence, record trade deficits with foreigners, and the plummeting dollar.

McCain does not understand dynamics of economy. He thinks cutting taxes but not spending will increase budget deficits. He does not understand that cutting taxes stimulates growth in the economy thereby resulting in net gain to the US Treasury. This has proven itself over and over starting with JFK, then Reagan and now Bush-43.

Huckabee has no background in economics. His college education consists of divinity college and he did not even graduate.

Only two candidates I see competent to handle economy for the better are Romney & Thompson. Romney has proven success in turning failing companies around and Thompson has the right ideas.

The question is, are the unwashed masses smart enough to realize who is best for them? I won’t hold my breath.

Strange that during the bitter Democratic primary, KOS (or other way out left wing groups) would urge the Democrats to cross over and vote for a Republican candidate who is by no means the most liberal. KOS is smart enough to realize that an endoresement from it would only hurt that candidate. Democrats must really be afraid of Mitt Romney winnibg and are getting desperate.

KOS surely is not afraid of a crazy like John McCain who has zero personality and lower likability than Hillary and the clown Mike Huckabee who might do okay in a tryout for a standup comic.

Gerald Ford barely got in the Michigan Primary in 1976 and won. He was the last candidate to run in Michigan that had been born there. He beat Ronald Reagan by 31% that year.

http://www.michiganhistorymagazine.com/features/remembering_gerald_ford.html

“In 1976, though, the movement of voters was in the other direction. Democratic turnout plummeted to barely 700,000, while the Republican turnout skyrocketed to more than 1 million, as Michigan voters handed native son Jerry Ford a lopsided victory in the GOP primary.”
