Did he parole a person who should not have been paroled? Someone that went on to commit an even more heinous crime?

Did I not make myself clear?

There is no evidence that Huckabee communicated to that parole board seeking Dumond's parole. There are only the allegations of parole board members who were appointed by the impeached Bill Clinton and the prosecuted Jim Guy Tucker.

Other members of that parole board have refuted their claims.

Meanwhile, Gov. Huckabee withstood the pressure to commute the sentence of Dumond, three or four times. One, in that so often partially quoted letter where Huckabee explains that he would like to commute the sentence (for his sake) but believed that would be the wrong thing to do.

Now that is the testimony of Governor Huckabee. Call him a liar if you want, but if you are an honorable man (or woman) you should have the evidence to cite.

Or, if you are not honorable, just keep spreading the hit peace and ponder those gates the governor referred to, last night.

“Dear Wayne,” Huckabee wrote in a letter to Dumond. “My desire is that you be released from prison. I feel that parole is the best way for your reintroduction to society to take place.”

Excuse me?

I asked you a question, a specific question.

I called NO ONE a liar and I find your accusation I did to be offensive. That I find you calling on Mr. Robinson and the moderator to be so childish is an entirely different story.

I consider myself to be an honorable woman and find your accusations here to contrary to be extremely offensive and against the rules around here.

If you watched Hannity and Colmes tonight, you would have heard that there is a letter, being called a smoking gun, making the rounds out there that proves Huckabee pushed for the parole of this particular criminal. If that’s the case, your guy will be a liar- twice.

So, because they were appointed by Bill Clinton or Jim Guy tucker they are automatically lying, is that it?

Let me share with you a story from the bible:

A very evil man, we will call him Pharoh, appointed a righteous man, for our purposes we will call him moses.

Now if I am to follow your rule, Moses must have been evil since Pharoh was evil.

Do you deny the parole board refused parole to Dummond before Huckabee became Gov? And do you deny that, before the parole board took any other action, he announced his intention to free Dummond? Do you deny the parole board then changed their ruling, and paroled Dummond before Huckabee commuted his sentence?

Sorry, but there is a ton of documentary evidence that Huckabee WANTED Dummond on the streets, and the parole board only stepped in AFTER that public announcement.

Huckabee has been very deceptive about this incident. His statement required parsing - like Clinton. But then, as Huckabee keeps boasting, a state that loved Bill Clinton kept returning him to office as well!

Except the letter to Dumond in prison (that Huckabee agreed to having written when he was on Fox last night after the debate) that said, “It is my desire to see that you are released from prison”.

You are either an unmitigated liar or a naive person uninterested in the truth.

You say "One, in that so often partially quoted letter where Huckabee explains that he would like to commute the sentence (for his sake) but believed that would be the wrong thing to do."

That is a complete distortion of Mike's position on Dumond's release. Here's his actual position, based upon his statements at the time.

"'The Post-Prison Transfer Board has voted to parole Wayne Dumond, and he will be released to Texas, where he has a job, counseling and a support group awaiting him,' Huckabee said in a statement issued after the board's vote. 'I concur with the board's action and hope the lives of all those involved can move forward. The action of the board accomplishes what I sought to do in considering an earlier request for a commutation. That is to allow Mr. Dumond to leave Arkansas since he has a sentence served longer than those normally given for similar crimes in the county where he was convicted." Huckabee noted that Dumond has been eligible for parole for more than four years since Lt. Gov. Jim Guy Tucker commuted his sentence in 1992."
-- Source: "Dumond granted parole; Huckabee agrees with board; Falagin upset," by Emmett George, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, January 17, 1997, pg. 1A.

Now either quit lying about it or continue lying about it and prove you care not for truth.
