NASHUA – A top Clinton adviser faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated after city police caught him speeding through Greeley Park a day before the state primary.

Sidney Blumenthal, longtime friend and senior adviser to presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. was allegedly driving a rented car north on Concord Street at a speed of 70 mph when Nashua Police Sgt. Mike Masella decided to stop it at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Blumenthal was arrested after completing the test and taken to the police department where he refused to take a breath test and was booked on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, Masella said.

Hmm. Concord street is not the main highway between Nashua and Manchester. When arrested, Blumenthaul is driving North back in the direction of Manchester, which is about 10 miles away. Something in his story does not compute. Where was he really going?

I have read that 2/3’s of those arrested for DUI are alcoholics. As a recovering alcoholic myself, I do not have the luxury of hating anyone and I hope Sid gets help.

So Sidney Blumenthal seems to have the newpapers ear always. he is the one who goes to England thows bombs from the BRIT papers. Get nasty editorials in whenever and wherever he pleases, it seems. So in this case I guess the MSM is totally burying the story.

Sidney Blumenthal is one of the famous FOBs - Friends of Bill. He used his closeness to Bill Clinton to take a spin through the revolving door between journalism and politics and join the White House communications team in 1997 after writing articles favourable towards President Clinton.

The journalist, who had written for the New Yorker magazine, the Washington Post, New Republic and Vanity Fair, met the Clintons in the 1980s at a Renaissance Weekend. He became close to them while covering the 1992 presidential campaign. He is as close, if not closer, to Hillary Clinton than her husband.

A senior adviser to Senator Clinton is arrested in New Hampshire just prior to the primary in New Hampshire, and it is not reported until the following weekend?

The Clintons truly have the press in their pocket.

And I do mean the Clintons: I think that Mr. Clinton is simply reprising the very successful tactic that George Wallace took in the 1960s when he ran his wife for governor in Alabama when he wasn't eligible. (If memory serves, there was also a case in Texas of the same sort of thing; checking the net, it appears that it was gubernatorial pair named Ferguson back in 1917.)
