Hillary may win her hometown of Park Ridge, Illinois in the primary but.....
I have lived in Park Ridge my entire life. (We bought my parents house).
If she's the dem nominee she will not win the vote here.
Park Ridge like most towns with hard working people who made themselves what they are and believe in family values is about 75 percent republican.

Bush’s hometown (by birth) is New Haven CT. I know he’s never won it.

Hometown? Who knows? But I believe the only president who won without carrying his home state was Woodrow Wilson in 1916.
If Clinton wins I can't imagine any way she wouldn't carry New York. Or Illinois, for that matter.

I’m just opening a discussion with the comment about her supposed international popularity and she won’t win her hometown.

I am thinking that Nixon didn’t carry California in 1960 or 1968.

Im just opening a discussion with the comment about her supposed international popularity and she wont win her hometown. She may not carry Park Ridge but I guarantee you she would take Illinois by a huge margin. That's pretty popular.

Gore couldn’t even win his own voting precinct in 2000. His neighbors knew him and rejected him.

Algore lost Tennessee in 2000. If he had won his home state, Florida would not have mattered.

Nixon won California in both 1960 and 1968. However, he lost New York, his state of residence at the time, in 1968.

I don’t think LBJ ever won the vote of Johnson City, Texas, his hometown. Folks there said they knew him too well.

James K Polk lost his home state Tennessee and birth state N.C. and still won as President.

Wilson was born in Staunton, Virginia. I’m sure he carried that town in 1916. He definitely carred the Commonwealth of Virginia.
