The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows John McCain opening a growing lead in the race for the Republican Presidential Nomination. Its McCain 24%, Mike Huckabee 19%, Mitt Romney 16%, Fred Thompson 13%, and Rudy Giuliani at 9%. Ron Paul attracts 3% support (see recent daily numbers). Expectations that McCain will be the GOP nominee have increased significantly over the past week.
In Michigan, McCain and Romney hold the early lead in the upcoming Primary. McCain is enjoying a modest bounce in South Carolina and he now holds a narrow lead over Huckabee in the Palmetto States GOP Primary.
In the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination, its now Clinton 39%, Barack Obama 35% and John Edwards 14% (see recent daily numbers). Obama continues to hold a double digit lead over Clinton in the South Carolina Democratic Primary.

He is a real hero. But as to real convictions. Besides being convicted that he’s the best and that he’ll do anything to get elected and please the MSM I haven’t seen any convictions.
