I don’t use Microsoft products - for that and many other reasons.
... oh wait, I AM a Ford owner.. after... all....
FORD = Fix Or Repair Daily
FORD = Found On Road Dead
FORD - First On Race Day (nah)
No doubt - there’s a stroke of pure “genius” - “What’s that? There are groups out there who truly love our product so much that they dedicate much of their spare time and money to it? LET’S SUE THEIR PANTS OFF!!!!”
Um.. Coke is actually encouraging people to use their logo on websites and such. So long as it’s not for commercial purposes or to sell a competing product, they don’t care.
As proof, here is the website where they *give* their logo and product images away for use:

No. You own the car. They, however, own the trademark. And others can't use it for commercial benefit.
As a rule, companies don't like doing crap like this and taking the resultant PR hickey. But, if they don't take steps to defend their trademark, they are at risk of losing the exclusive rights to it.
That sounds like Ford to me.
It was a combination of the two aforementioned actions that cannot be mentioned for fear of litigation.
There is a reason Ford is going out of business. Things like this add up. They should be kissing anyone who presents Ford in a positive light.
Besides which isn’t there room in the trademark/copyright laws for fair use? Regardless I will not buy a Ford, Mazda, or Volvo again.
I’m in the market for a pickup. I was sure I was going to buy a Ford. Started doing a little research on the web. After I saw all the complaints about their Triton engine spitting out spark plugs and how badly they were treating their customers I decided to look elsewhere. Probably a Toyota Tacoma or Tundra.

Good Bye, Ford!
Ford better start suing everybody selling their Fords on Ebay!
Wow, Ford is really sinking to a new low. Sales must be taking a big, big hit. Wonder why????? Maybe the reason we’re not supposed to talk about...
They are truly going off the deep end. Further, they won’t win this if it goes to court. Professional photogs will win it, the amateur photogs will win it, the pictures we take of anything by default are ours according to copyright laws. There’s no way they can win this. They’re going to lose that much more money when this goes to court and they lose and are forced to pay damages.
Friggin’ Found On Road Deserted idiots. Get more queens to buy your vehicles.
Stupid! I own a 89 SHO, 65 Custom (Think Galaxy) 68 Merc and have owned 80 Mustang, 83 GT and 87 LX 5.0.
Dumb idea.
Won’t hold up in court because pictures of Fords have been used for decades to sell magazines and calendars.
corporate stupidity is on the march.
How can one show off their custom work?
This is idiotic. Someone who lost their job at the RIAA must be working for ford. Either that or the woman who destroyed oldmobile must now be working for ford marketing.
I wouldn’t get an F-150 with the Triton V-8. The pickups that don’t have the Triton V-8 don’t have this problem.
The #3 spark plug blows out because the engine metal around there is too thin. Ford tells customers it’s a spark plug issue, not a design flaw. However when the plugs blow out they take part of the engine block/threads with them, apparently indicating (according to mechanics) it’s a fundamental flaw of the engine design. IF it was just a spark plug problem, the plug would explode or break up and the engine wouldn’t always be damaged.
I know. I don’t get it either. It was free advertising for them. The PR guy probably has an MBA. I swear these people become stupid after 4 years of college (at least some colleges).
Sorry , that is hard cheese mate , but the good news is Fords suck anyway .
