I thought the prevailing school of thought was that MA elected Republicans to somewhat counter the corruption and stupidity of the legislature?

Look at what Dukakis & Solons did to help drive business out of MA. Sales taxes on services? I heard Fidelity moved out a good portion of the IT department in a very short timeframe (a good use of geographic diversity, but the impending Mass Miracle taxes sped up, and increased the size of the move).

The funny part is in some ways the legislature is helping us by shooting down Deval’s proposals, etc. (DiMasi et al).
Thanks to badgering of them by talk radio listeners,
the Mass Leg. DID shut down the previous attempt to
give free tuition to illegals. They can be helpful when
the voter’s voices are heard.

Agreed on Dukakis, and Deval’s doing the same. Which is why it was so annoying to hear those ads Deval was doing for some
let’s-Make-It-In-Massachusetts-type group. “This is Deval
Patrick, and I’m here with...” It’s Deval and his high taxing/
high regulation ways that are chasing businesses out
of state.
