"A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani." -- Steven Pokorny, age 28, at Giuliani during meeting in Miami, Sunday, Jan. 13

MIAMI, Jan. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rudy Giuliani was rattled by pro-life advocates and canceled his speech at his first bus-tour event Sunday in Miami.  Activists have planned confrontations with Rudy for every stop of his Florida bus tour.  Photos available online.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12:15 PM, pro-life activists were in the crowd at The Green Street Cafe (located at 3110 Commodor Plaza, Coconut Grove Florida, just outside Miami) waiting for Giuliani to begin his Florida Bus Tour.

When Rudy Giuliani arrived, Joseph Landry (age 26) was within 5 feet of the candidate, and began yelling: You are a baby killer! You are a baby killer! Florida is pro-life! Rudy wants public funding for abortion!"  See news report. Law enforcement officials immediately escorted Mr. Landry from the area, while Mr. Landry continued his monologue.

Within Minutes, Steven Pokorny, age 28, stood to his feet and cried out, "A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani! Giuliani wants to kill children and have you pay for it!" Law enforcement did not stop Mr. Pokorny.

At that point, Giuliani left the building, without addressing the crowd.

Mr. Pokorny was able to follow Mr. Giuliani for more than a minute, yelling out about Rudy's pro-choice, pro-homosexual agenda. Again, Mr. Pokorny was not interrupted by police.

Giuliani officials had no idea how many pro-lifers were in the crowd, and how many more times Giuliani would be confronted. This might explain why Mr. Giuliani did not make any remarks - and left the meeting without addressing supporters.

Pro-lifers have scheduled confrontations with Rudy on every stop of his Florida Bus tour.

Video footage of the confrontations with Rudy is available upon request.

I’m pro-life all the way, but being rude bullies changes no hearts. It only hardens them.

That is an "argument" altogether different than what one is "allowed," pursuant to the Bill of Rights, to do. I think "being rude bullies" may likely have negative effects, and for that reason, I would not, personally, take part in such a protest of that kind.

But what I choose to do is not what everyone chooses; and I would not force MY OWN "politeness" on others, just as I would not have others force theirs onto me.

I think there is a major difference here that many seem to be missing.

The Republican party is the pro-life party and we have to keep it that way.

If we drive the pro abortion RINO candidates out of the race others wont rush to spend millions to try again.

If just one anti-gun abortionist Republican gets the nomination the party is dead, because we would never get rid of them!

Sorry, but that’s one dumb question.

It’s pretty myopic to focus on simply who is running against whom.

It’s a bit more complex and comprehensive than that.

“All this does is bring out the pro-abortion zealots.”

Anything that might advance the cause of life will bring them out. The only way *not* to bring them out is to do nothing.

They won’t go down without a fight. We must be glad to bring them out, then we must defeat them.

Even if true, so what? Tell me something it will accomplish for the cause of life.

Well, the kid is partly right saying that. He fails to see that a third of the parents who aborted their kids have a larger responsibility for it because they may have well elected Giuliani and also decided to exercise their ‘right’ under the law.

Whoa! The moon is turning a new phase if Rudy is not already prepared for receptions like this in Florida.

This is not NY or NJ.
Bad move leaving like that.

Myopic would be for the GOP to totally abandon the pro-life platform.

"There has to be a better way of spreading the message besides acting like a total retard. "

Their message is "LOOK AT ME" and acting like total retards is the best they can come up with to spread it. Kinda like Code Pink acting like total retards and then claiming they support the troops.

Reposting...

I believe that McCain, Mitt and Huck would all lose to Obama or Hillary in the general election.

Therefore, disrupting Rudy’s campaign means we will have a Democrat in the White House in 2008.

The law of unintended consequences...

As correct as you are about McCain, Mitt and Huck, you could not be more incorrect about Rudy and it displays a staggering ignorance of the GOP base and electorate.

Rudy with his extreme liberal positions on the following:

1. Abortion (He was strongly in support of Partial Birth Abortion)
2. Illegal Immigration (He turned NY into a defacto Sanctuary City).
3. His strong support for the Gay agenda (See his endorsements and walking in Gay-Pride Parades).
4. His support for Global Warming.
5. His fiscal spending habits (He left one of the largest, if not largest deficits for his successor in NY History). 6. His past support of democrat politicians over Republican Politicians.

Has alienated enough of the base that they will not vote for him under any circumstances in either the primary or general elections.

In order to win the Presidency in the General Election, the GOP will need every vote of every faction.

Rudy, with his strong negatives with the base will cause a percentage of GOP voter to not vote AND will hand the Presidency to whatever democrat is running.

He is the one candidate guaranteed to hand the presidency to the Dem Candidate.

Why? Are only lawyers “allowed” to state their opinions and cite case law concerning free speech?

Nobody said it was wrong or “not allowed.”

I said it wasn’t helpful. And it wasn’t in this case. It was stupid and unnecessary.

Funding free ultrasounds for newly pregnant women, promoting the publishing of early first trimester ultrasounds to the general public— those are things that actually have an impact on people and cause them to realize it’s a BABY being killed.

Oooh, I like this way! Please post any charities that are making this happen. I believe this is the right way to combat abortion and I am sure lots of Freepers would want to contribute.

“I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if Planned Parenthood interrupted their prayer breakfast at Ryan’s Steakhouse. :p
I’m pro-life all the way, but being rude bullies changes no hearts. It only hardens them.”

Every post on your side of this argument contains an implicit assumption of an equivalence between the two sides.

They are not equivalent.

This is a fight between good and evil. Evil does not deserve courtesy or consideration. Good does.

It is a moral good for pro-lifers to disrupt the rites of the baby killers. It is a moral evil for baby killers to...well, to do anything in the cause of baby killing.

Good and evil — not morally equivalent.

Code Pink had better watch their collective ass here in Florida if they start the same crap that they pull in the Socialist States of the N.E.

Did you see what happened to Code Pink in Miami? - Priceless!!

Rudy needs to be prepared for this, at least in Florida, and not think that its the business as usual, gay agenda forums that he has become familiar with.
