I do not like Joe much, but Fox and Friends is unbearable, other than the fox babes in mini-skirts and 4 heels. Maybe it will help now that they have Ernie Douglas on board.

So glad to hear about Washington Times article....seems many Republicans need a refresher course on McCain’s positions and voting history. Reports that McCain is the national front runner amaze me...how can Republicans vote for this guy???

McCain is politically viable, but he is the consummate politician, and that’s no compliment.
He’s a political opportunist. Hes the type that immediately jumped on the Abu Garhib and proposed anti-torture bills; a moot point, since it was already illegal and those involved would be punished. But that didn’t change the fact that he wanted to not only distance himself from these events, but also beat some political capital out of them.
Another example is baseball and drug testing. When this issue became large, guess who immediately jumped up and proposed all sort of “great ideas” to solve the problem with more laws?
He’s the sort of guy that panders and slithers through the grass like a snake, always on the side of what 50.01% agree with (Example, his 180 degree turn around on illegal immigration), always on the prowl for new issues that he can wrap himself around and get his name out with. He’s the Republican version of a Clinton; a career politician, someone whos had their sights set on the Whitehouse for a long time, someone who’s all politics and zero substance, willing to take any position on any issue as long as it brings and keeps him in power.
That said, hes still a viable candidate (Chance of winning) and while a pure politician, hes still more or less conservative.

That is a mystery to me. Maybe they are ill informed about McCain’s record and believe MSM. Maybe it is Democrats and Independents who want him. Maybe the polls are wrong like in NH. Allegedly in NH Democrats and even persons from out of state could vote in the GOP primary.

No one can accuse McCain of being a conservative - that is one reason MSM loves him. Also he makes a weak opponent, removes the illegal controversy from the general election with everyone of the Dems supporting illegal aliens.

The man is and always has been a liar, hypocrite, and poltroon. And for some reason, maybe because he's the penultimate Washington insider, the media loves him.
The only thing new in 2008 is further evidence of the above.

Yeah! Do not get between him and a camera either. He is a sore loser who did everything to screw up the things Bush tried to do.

Sorry I totally disagree. Were it NOT for McCain and his brother Feingold the media would not have been given the power to make or break campaigns. I cannot think of one piece of legislation that Hillary Clinton rammed through Congress since 2000 and there is a long list of McCain Acts the sole purpose was to cut up and out conservatism. He is dirty through and through. Could it be that McCain's one driving goal in passing M-F was his own election as POTUS?
To answer my own question: Yes. It could be. Perhaps it is even likely. Why else has he been such a media whore all thru these years? Oh how the press does love their "maverick".

Thompson is a stalking horse for his closest Senate pal, John McCain. Thompson wins a few votes in a primary and then gives them to McCain in a brokered convention. I noticed in the most recent debates in New Hampshire, he was joining McCain in a tag team to beat up Romney every chance he got. It’s pretty obvious what’s going on here.

Never heard of him. I was thinking more along the lines of Laurie Dhue. Yeah, I knew what you meant. LOL. That guys real name is Griff Jenkins. Ernie Dounglas one of the sons on the old tv show "My Three Sons". He's a dead reinger for him.

Why else has he been such a media whore all thru these years? Oh how the press does love their "maverick". Well it has been painfully obvious living through the stake in the heart of conservatism since 2000 under McCain's stand for revenge. So he made a deal with the other side for something and he never ever does anything without feathering his own nest first.... CFR was first and foremost to feather his own nest and the MSM has notably paid him OFFFFF.

I have yet to come to this conclusion, but I won't argue against it either. I am waiting to see, but the longer it takes to hear from his own mouth which path he is actually on makes me NOT willing to jump aboard his campaign.
