I love California. I have lived here all of my life. It is the most beautiful state in the country. My children are happy, healthy, and full of joy — and all of the families we are friends with (a LOT) have children who are the same way, for the most part. My children are being taught how to navigate their way around falsehood because I only teach them the TRUTH. That way, they will spot the lie very quickly (which they do. They come up with some very deep ideas all on their own this way.

That is AWESOME! I applaud you. It sounds like you are doing a fine job. Honestly, I have been to Cali a few times and I love the state. I have family that lives in Cali. I just hate to see what the nanny-state legislature has PASSED in the last decade.

Thanks, Kerre. It’s an amazing state, and yes, there has been a huge loss of individual rights here that requires you keep your family insulated and informed in spite of the atmosphere. I can’t picture ever leaving CA, though.

Lest you think you can send your kids to a private school, be aware these laws apply to those schools, too. Only home-schooling is presumably exempt.
