Although the doors open today, I don't consider the conference really open until Tuesday after Steve Jobs Keynote address. Apple will not show anything that will be announced in the Keynote until its over... so those in the know don't go on the first day.

(We can fix this, but you're gonna need a butter knife, a roll of duct tape, and a car battery.)

Does anyone know what time the keynote speech is?

My next machine will be a Mac. So much more photo stuff...
I note B&H and other camera/photography sellers listed. I buy from B&H.

Do you think there will be something new? The boards have been pretty quiet.... As a matter of fact, nobody is really expecting anything as far as I can tell.

I shoot mostly sports. Here are a couple of shots of mine from this year:
I buy a lot of my stuff from B&H. What type of shooting do you do?

I went to a Mac Store just after Christmas to buy a laptop and they suggested to wait until after this conference. Don’t know if they knew something or not.

Jobs is supposed to announce a better, faster, more powerful, and lighter machine. Sounds worth waiting for.

It’s good practice to never buy any Apple stuff in the month before MacWorld.
One of my co-workers just shelled out $2500 for a top of the line Macbook Pro. That guarantees that there will be a new high-end laptop.

I’ve heard a wild-and-crazy rumor that the Mac subnotebook is named the MacBook Air. Thus, there’s something in the air.

Figures, just as I have to leave. And I can’t get wifi where I’m going, so I can’t get live updates. DAMNIT.

If nothing else, everything gets upgraded - or another way to look at it, what used to be an add-on is standard.
Or, yet another way to look at it, you get a price break.
