Cool for McCain, but it means nothing to me. I know who John McCain is. I’m getting out early on Saturday morning and vote for Thompson.

McCain picks up Key Conservative Endorsement
Presenting...
Dr. Tom Coburn, U.S. Senator (R-OK)
To: JRochelle
I’m sure this decision will surprise if not shock some folks. Sen Coburn is a staunch conservative, yet he finds McCain to be the best choice available. WOW!
Another example why this is the craziest primary contest ever.
GO FRED!

Not sure this is accurate - doesn’t seem to reflect Coburn’s principles, but I’ll probably learn something if it’s true.

Coburn is my senator and I'm proud to have voted for him, but WTF is up with this?
McCain basically stands against everything Coburn believes, I hope Washingtonitis isn't infecting his brain, this might be one of those "he's my good friend" situations.

Well, this is very disappointing as I really respect Coburn, and his conservatism. Oh well...that’s politics...

I like Coburn but Juan McCain can have my vote when he can pull it from my cold, dead fingers.

Don't get me wrong. It's a solid endorsement, but I don't know if you would consider it a "major endorsement." Dr. Tom Coburn is a huge endorsement.
He likely respects McCain for his stand against earmarks and his support of our military.
It's unfortunate that he did not endorse Fred.

I would be very dissappointed that Coburn would choose McCain, although as the article states they are buddies from the Senate fighting against spending (except when McCain is not standing up with Coburn on real reform).
Let’s wait and see if Coburn actually endorses him though, since this is still a leak and not the actual story.

I agree. If McCain had any credibility on the illegal immigration or 1st amendment issues I could understand this endorsement. Maybe Tom knows something we don't.

Sheesh. Coburn is one of my favorite Senators. McCain is one of my least favorite Senators - and that's saying a lot considering the huge pack of worthless bums in that body from which to choose.
This is a huge disappointment. What is it about this hopelessly chummy and inbred bunch of backslapping mutual suck-ups, anyhow!!?? ("My good friend and esteemed colleague...")
Republican Senators apparently are willing to hopelessly disgrace and compromise themselves in more ways than tapping a foot in bathroom stalls.

Any Senator that gets into bed with this disgusting little bitter man is no longer a favorite of mine. This man is a backstabbing little creep who probably is somehow threatening his “friends” to endorse him or else.
Tom Coburn no longer has my respect to endorse this worthless Rino.

That’s right!
And not shocking.
Coburn has got his head on straight and he made a endorsement that he feels is best for the country.

Dr. Coburn is one of my Senators. His endorsement of McCain is very, very disappointing to me. I guess he’s joining the Senate club after all. Sigh....

I don't know why they keep calling McCain a "maverick." He's just like the rest of them, wanting power and money.
