FRIEND OF CRIMINALS: Victims Voice, the Republican-backed group that has bought TV ads featuring the mother of one of Wayne Dumond's many victims, is now publicizing another killer helped by Huckabee who's in trouble with the law again. News release on jump. Wall Street Journal wrote about this case previously. Another TV ad, possibly?

LAW BREAKERS?: South Carolina contemplates a prosecution of the push-polling robocalls being made in behalf of Mike Huckabee.

VICTIMS VOICE NEWS RELEASE

In Little Rock, history once again repeats itself: yet another violent criminal freed by Mike Huckabee is on trial again for felony charges.

In 1994 John Henry Claiborne, a man already convicted of 6 prior felonies, kicked in the back door of the home of Homer and Vivian Allbritton and held them at gunpoint with a stolen shotgun while he robbed them. Claiborne took all the valuables he could carry from the Allbrittons' house, including Mrs. Allbritton's wedding ring that he stripped from her finger as she lay on the ground. Claiborne then stole the Allbrittons' car and drove away. He was soon arrested, put on trial, and sentenced to 375 years behind bars. Three years after Mike Huckabee commuted Claiborne's sentence, he is once again the target of prosecutors for his alleged felonies.

Claiborne remained in prison until 2004, when then-Governor Mike Huckabee commuted his sentence to "time served" and released him, over the objections of law enforcement, jurors in Claiborne's case, and the Allbritton family.

"My mother isn't the same person she was before this happened," said Greg Allbritton, the adult son of Vivian Albritton. "I sleep in the recliner in my mother's home because she's afraid [Claiborne] will come back and hurt her again."

Commenting on Huckabee's record of granting over 1000 clemencies as Governor, Allbritton said: "Every time Huckabee let a felon out, it was like slapping law enforcement, veterans, prosecutors, and victims in the face."

Huckabee's commutation is even more troubling today, as Claiborne is again facing felony charges. In the fall of 2007, he was arrested again. Today he faces the criminal justice system as an accused drug dealer. He is currently free on bond and walking the streets of Little Rock, while the Allbrittons still live in fear of him.

It’s getting hard for me to keep track of all the reasons I don’t trust Mike Huckabee.

Huckabee has to be the dumbest person to try and run for president. Anyone that would vote for the kook needs a few days in the rubber room.

“It’s getting hard for me to keep track of all the reasons I don’t trust Mike Huckabee.”

Agreed. Too many to keep track of.

I wonder if he will win any more primaries or if Iowa was it for him.

FR definitely needs a “Huckabee Truth File” page, unless the volume of links on that page would crash JimRob’s server.

It would be such a huge file, no one would be able to pull it up and it would definitely crash the server.

So, another violent criminal that Huckabee helped set free has reoffended.

Those pardons and clemencies are like 1000 ticking time bombs waiting to go off before November. If he won the nomination, his whole candidacy would hang on the hope that none of those thousand reoffended at a politically inopportune time. Yikes.

You people are just shilling for those other losers like Fred and Hunter and that Mr. Clean “Mitt” Romney, and don’t understand the mind of God’s chosen Conservative Mike Huckabee, he will lead us to victory in 2008!

SO GO VOTE HUCK!

(please, you see I saw several nice little houses in this lower middle income area that I bet I could pick up for 70 cents on the dollar when Huck doubles taxes to “care” for the less fortunate, interest rates double or more and property values plumet...)

When he was at 1% in the polls, but doing well in the debates, I sat up and took notice of him. Initially what I saw I liked. Thank goodness for places like this forum and other news outlets on the web so that I could find out his real record. Oh and people like Fred Thompson pointing out his real record.

We would never find out through the MSM media. That is until after he was chosen as a nominee...
