RUSH will not endorse anyone in the primaries, for the simple fact that he can't alienate listeners. Wishing won't make it so.
Now, I *am* surprised that the NRA hasn't jumped into this fight yet. It'll be over and they'll still be on the sidelines.

Rush seems to feel he may be forced to settle for Romney, but hes not the clear conservative among the front runners.No. But he is the most conservative among the front runners. Fred cannot be considered among the front runners unless and until he wins SC.

Huck’s very aggressive and would do it in a minute IF he wasn’t worried that he makes himself and McCain look bad and lets Romney and Thompson rise. He has to make darn sure he’s got an excellent ad to do it.

Why is everyone sitting around waiting for Rush to tell you who to vote for? Why not choose a candidate of your very own and go with it? Just asking.......

I could hold my nose and vote for Romney. He's easily the most polished of all the candidates.
He impresses me as a good manager. A good VP. Someone that you give a big project to and say "Handle this", then have him come back in a few months with Grade A material.
But leader of the Free World? I think the jury is still out.

No, he meant it. Fred Thompson is obviously a conservative, and as of last week, he was clearly in the race.
But some people seem to think Rush didn’t mean it when he listed Romney first in his discussion about “true conservatives”. Not saying that Romney was first because he was the most conservative, just saying that he didn’t add Romney as an afterthought to his list of what he thought were true conservatives.
If Rush thought Romney was not a conservative, he would say so. He said so of McCain, he said so of Huckabee. IT’s not like Rush is shy about his opinions. But instead, he said Romney was a true conservative.
To: jveritas
Really? How about inviting Fred on the show? This is not a time to pussy foot around. The future of this country is at stake. In his eternal optimism, Rush believes that the virtues of America will win the day in the long run. Sorry to burst your bubble Rush, but a Hillary, Obama, Huckster, or McCain presidency will create damage that can NEVER be repaired!

Whens Huck going to go after McCain? His campaign told the press he was going to. He's been "including" him in criticism, pretty much like Thompson has.
I think neither of them want to offend the military voters. Many of them in SC. They better both do some straight talking about McCain!

Thats the most accurate assessment of Romney that Ive seen on here. I cannot site doctrinal problems with Romney ... he is simply so manufactured and rehearsed that I get the feeling hes telling me what I want to hear, rather than what he actually believes.
Here's how I see it: Romney is talking all conservative now but governed as a liberal. That means one of two things. He either pandered to Massachusetts liberals and is telling the rest of the country what he's really like, or he's really a Massachusetts liberal and is pandering to the whole country to get the GOP nod. Problem is, I have no way of knowing which is the truth.

It’s not just the carefully-crafted phoniness, it’s that his apparent default perspective is to figure out a government-led solution to any problem, and that ends up being a technocrat’s big-government solution.
The problem is that 4 of our top 5 candidates (I’d put Rudy and of course Huck and McCain in there as well) have real flaws for that three-legged conservative stool AND in electability. Polls show voters think differently. They hear the MSM and think the others are more electable, but I believe they are misinformed.

LOL.
Whatever, talk to the hand, cuz the ears ain’t listening.
Go Fred!
Do I think he has a “chance of winning”? Yes.
Can he? Yup - if all the dumbasses actually stop paying attention to the freakin’ poll crap and actually VOTE for a CONSERVATIVE.
No, Mitt Romney is not a Conservative, his daddy was a hard core liberal and the apple didn’t fall THAT from from the tree folks.

Which candidate is number 1 with Rush? Here's the case for Fred Thompson. When Rush Limbaugh AND Jim Robinson get behind a candidate, you can bet that guy is the real deal.
