The Danish-American actor Viggo Mortensen has joined the campaign of American presidential outsider, Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich
The Danish-American actor Viggo Mortensen has joined the campaign of American presidential outsider, Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich Not to be outdone by all-American action hero Chuch Norris, actor Viggo Mortensen has announced his hands-on support for Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich.
While Norris was on hand to congratulate Iowa Republican caucus winner Mike Huckabee earlier this month, Mortensen flew especially to the New Hampshire caucus to support Kucinich.
He said he was outraged that the long-shot Democratic candidate had not been invited to participate in the live TV debate for presidential candidates.
'Kucinich is the most honest politician among all the presidential candidates. He doesn't care what others think and will stand by his beliefs. Not even in Denmark do you meet such an honest politician.
He said he preferred the Danish political system to the American one, stating that it was better to have more parties to choose from.
'In the US, it's all about money. Neither [Democratic candidate Hillary] Clinton nor [Republican candidate Mitt] Romney would be so effective without money. Romney would have little to say if it werent for the money,' he said with a grin.
Viggo Mortensen was born and grew up in the United States, but speaks Danish and maintains close ties to Denmark.
Hunter still has Yeager, who is a much more notable endorsement than Mortensen or Norris.
“He said he preferred the Danish political system to the American one...”
The, by all means, return.
No brains for oil ping.
Methinks ARAGORN is a loon...
Ping
Aye, that he is.
IMO, he was the weakest link among the main characters of LOTR movie. He’s okay as a Rider, but didn’t have the presence for a King of Gondor.
“Open war is upon you, whether you would risk it or not.”
—apparently he’s forgotten that line.
I doubt that Viggo actually ever knew what it meant.
If he’s gonna’ be a kingmaker, he needs better material to work with than Kookcinich.
But, you know, Kucinich could make a believable Gollum...
Agreed. And now he’s pimping for Gollum.
You beat me by 23 seconds.
I’m very dangerous over short distances!
Kingmaker?
The Danish really don’t know America at all.
He really does have an affinity for Hobbits if he’s backing Kucinich.
Viggo is a great actor and a wonderful guy. But politics is not his strong suit.
