The letter from Moss's agent does raise legitimate questions about the complainant's motives. But. . . as the excerpt below indicates, Randy, who independent of this matter is still a scum bag, offered 100K to this complainant.

The letter by Moss's agent, Tim Dipiero, said in part: I still didn’t want Randy to face all this craziness, and naturally we wanted to settle this thing and were willing to pay an exorbitant amount to do so, so when he asked for an offer on Monday, we said, something to the effect, “you said six figures, how about $100,000?” He said it had to be $500,000 or nothing.

100K. Why would Randy throw six figures on the table if he is totally innocent? Now, that being said, it appears that complainant's lawyer is a bottom-dweller who is trying to extract a settlement that has no relationship whatsoever to the supposed injury.

Indeed, it could fairly be said that complainant attorney is CHEATING the system. To many Patriot fans, cheating is only bad when they are the ones aggreived.

What did he lie about? And what did he cheat about?

And are you into ancient history or something? The AFC has been cleaning the NFC’s clock with regularity for so long it’s getting embarrassing.

Whether or not these allegations are true, one thing is clear to most decent NFL fans:

Randy Moss is slimy and the Patriots are a cheating, disgraceful organization. The stench coming out of Boston seems to get worse every day.

It is a good thing that one can not hear Tom Brady after a ‘bad’ play. Reading lips for certain words that start w/ f is not difficult (u and f require specifc mouth placement). Brady has a flithy mouth. Rodney Harrison is a dirty player in more ways then one (HGH) late hits etc. New England sets a bad example for everyone involved in sports young and old.

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/2007/10/headset_conspiracies.html

“At one point we had a good drive going against the Patriots,” said one Lion who doesn’t want his name involved in this mess, but was willing to talk about it. “Mike Martz really had ‘em going. They were getting fouled up, lining up wrong, we were moving the ball. Then boom, the headset from the sidelines to the coaches’ booth goes out.

“Next possession we were moving the ball again and the same thing happened. You know it only takes two or three plays to mess up a drive.”

Matt Millen, the Lions’ GM, says he was talking to another team’s head coach at the league meetings. He started telling him the story.

“Yeah, I know,” the coach said. “Headset went out. It happened to me in Foxboro, too.”

The Redskins game was close until at a critical juncture (early 2nd period) of the game, the Redskins headsets went out in Foxboro. Sound familiar? It happened to Green Bay Philly, Lions, Bengals, in the past two seasons, at fairly critical junctures in the game, all of a sudden they lost headset communication. It also happened to the Jaguars—they lost their coach-to-quarterback communication for the entire first half. Coach Jack Del Rio later said the headsets “mysteriously malfunctioned.” The Patriots cheat, cheat and cheat some more.

You opinion is just the same as the jerks on CBS Sports. You know zero but have a lot of opinions on things you know very little about. Did you read the email attachment in the above post? Of course not. facts don't count. I am not defending him just stating this it took me 60+ years to learn not to jump at the first words but look around and read some other things from other sources.

Broward County is a joke in Florida. The lady appears to have grammar school education look at her handwriting on the deposition. Florida home of dirt bag lawyers galore. Lawyers who will do or say anything to make a buck. Most not all Lawyers are lower than whale do doo and baby thats at the bottom of the ocean.

Its amazing that in the email the agent is asking the other lawyer what he wants and he threatens the agent by making the statements he makes. Yea I know its not fun to back a losing team. But on the other hand this is supposed to be a Conservative leaning web site. Hey folks it only a game period. Don't be like the libs let the entire truth come out. Period Tall john I wonder are you a member of the make believe I am a conservative club.

This is exactly what the Libs do to people they dislike cause they are winners. A short story about Libs is called for here

This is great! LOL!

Subject: History Lesson

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic
hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer
and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were:

1. The invention of beer, and

2. The invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get beer to the
men.

These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the
catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals

2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning
of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented
yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to
be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That’s how villages
were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night
while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known
as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live
off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q’s and doing
the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the
Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became
known as girlie-men.

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats,
the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of
Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that
conservatives provided.

Over the years Conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most
powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by
the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer
white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their
beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have
higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal
injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists
are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it
wasn’t fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide
for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys,
lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police
officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone
who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other
conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers
and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans
are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals
remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept
in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get
more for nothing.

Here ends today’s lesson in world history.......

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily
respond to the above before forwarding it.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute
truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other
true believers and to more liberals just to piss them off...

So wait for all the facts to play out and never ever forget there are more lawyers in just Florida alone than all of China,Japan, and the entire European Continent put together and there ate 10 colleges pump them out in Florida at the rate of 200 a year. Do you really think they are all honest?
If so then I got some Florida swamps for sale to foolish people.

Who’s gonna stop them? The Chargers this week? They already beat the crap out of the Chargers when the roster wasn’t injury depleted, this is a weaker Chargers team coming to play in the cold weather. Then it’s up to the Giants or the Packers, they already beat the Giants and so have the Pack so really it’s probably the Pack, and I just don’t see that defense stopping the Pats.

"The lady appears to have grammar school education look at her handwriting on the deposition."

I see... So the moral of the story is to only beat up women with grammar school educations.

Randy Moss is one of the most physically talented players ever in the NFL. He often looks like a man playing among boys.

I despised him at Minn. as he seemed to chose to play or not play hard at his whim.

An NFL player with a gun does not surprise me either. Read the gun threads here and see if you disagree, he has a right to have a gun, as long as he uses it legally and safely.

If he doesn't wind up in jail, he will be remembered as one of the all-time greats. Or as a Jet player said when he heard that NE had picked up Moss "Oh S--T!!!"

Why not? Remember how much his salary has been for his career. What’s 100K to make a nuisance go away? It’s like me throwing $50 at somebody to make them shut the hell up and leave me alone, I can think of about a dozen people that I’d gladly throw that much money at if it guaranteed, with legal enforcement, I’d never have to acknowledge their existence again.

Disco, I'll grant you that; 100K is a small percentage of Moss's salary. But payment of that kind of money would be tantamount to an admission of guilt. The perception would be that Moss did something wrong.

Thanks for the links. I enjoyed the articles and they had some great information. I cannot remember who first said this but to all the Patriot fans:

Do not let the facts get in the way of a good argument.

I do not want to deviate too far from the purpose of this thread but if you want to find some bona fide cheaters take a look at the Denver Donkeys. The league found them totally guilty of going way over the salary cap in their Super Bowl years (I think it was 98 and 99) and they gave Pat Bowlen a little slap on the wrist with some measly little fine. Pat probably laughed all the way back to his little Donkey headquarters to look at the trophies his team stole. I think the league should have sanctioned the Donkeys with draft picks and lowered their salary cap for the number of years they violated the cap and that should have just been the start of it. Furthermore, that rat faced coach of theirs is a slimy, cheating, conniving weasel. I think the league should put a big ole ASTERISK next to their cheating Super Bowl wins.

OK, I feel better now.

It’s not admission of anything, it’s an out of court settlement, it’s go away money. All kinds of people and companies do it everyday, not because they’re guilty but because fighting is more time and money than it’s worth. If it goes to court his lawyer would probably cost him twice that at least.

Based on that comment, I can see that any rational conversation is beyond a reasonable expectation with regards to this topic. I'm sure we'll find common ground elsewhere on another thread somewhere sometime. So, until then, I'll just say have a great weekend! Cheers! - Ed.
