If you consider the margin of error, Fred could very well be second.

I live in SC and unfortunately I think your friend is dreaming. There is more indications that Huckabee is on the move than Fred. I think Fred is going to finish a distant third (more than 10 points) or maybe even fourth behind Romney who is doing very little here now. Fred needed to spend more time in SC in Nov and Dec, not just the two weeks before the primary.

Rasmussen and Zogby both say there’s still a high precentage who say they could change there mind right up until the minute the vote....I’m hoping a lot of McCain and Huck “voters” go with their gut at the last minute and switch.
Huckabee in third would a; but kill his campaign.

What is it about all of these Republican Presidential candidates who possibly plan to “get out” early in the primary season when no Republican has any kind of serious lead right now? It’s truly anybody’s race, and this could be the case all the way to the Republican Convention!

At least Fred Thompson is a conservative and I will be able to vote for him, no use throwing away my vote on a liberal rino.

I think you overstate Huckabee’s number. This latest push poll situation is going to hurt him badly. His statement that he wants to ban all political speech because he got caught just makes him look like an idiot.

We are working very hard for Fred here in SC. Most of the phone calls I am making are that voters are undecided but plan on voting. AND weather forecast for upstate SC on Saturday is SNOW! So, perhaps that will discourage the Dems to vote for McCain.

I’m hoping that Fred can bump off McCain.
Fred or Romney. I don’t care which one. Just not McCain.

Fred is unlikely to win at this late date. He must finish second. I would urge Fred supporters to send this far and wide to get the word out on Huckabee, so as to push his numbers down in time for Saturday...

Fred needs at least 2nd place to get credibility at this point. And I'm speaking as somebody who has contributed to his campaign. SC is part of his base of support. If he can't get his message out and motivate people to vote for him there, then where WOULD he get enough support to win?
Fred's performance in SC will strongly determine his performance on Super Tuesday, and whoever comes out strong on Super Tuesday will be in a strong position to have the nomination

If Thompson polls 20% and finishes 3rd, can he claim momentum and go on to Florida?! I hope so!
I've been wondering the same thing. But, I'm thinking that in a big media market like FL, money might be a problem for Fred.

C’mon now. I recall you very clearly saying your sources told you Duncan Hunter was dropping out (at that bizarre press conference in New Hampshire).

**Right now he thinks its closer to Mccain 25, Huckabee 23, Thompson 20, Romney 15.. **
This is how I said this would pan out — and I said it two weeks ago.
However, I just may change my mind:
McCain,
Thompson,
Huckabee,
Romney.
It sure is looking like this is what will happen!

If Fred has funds, he can and should go on. Huckabee and McCain are on the downtrend and he is on the way up. He can still pass up both by super Tuesday.
BUT...The big news here is that Fred is within striking distance of either 2nd or 1st in SC. Let’s do what we can to help him pull it off. Please call SC for Fred.
