Suck it up people. We have a war to win. (sniff)
many times I stood like that with fallen heros from Nam. I had one incidence of a young widow attempting to get on the casket.(the soldier was non Viewable). That was a harrowing experience.
Even General Patton would shed tears (and openly show it) at the loss of men such as these.
Thanks for posting that link.
Oh my Lord!! how many emotions one picture can amass in ones’ heart.
Please God, bless this broken lady and, her unborn baby~~:’)
Not with boast but, I make it a point every morning, to pray for those who are having to go through this sorrow.
As humans and Christians, we have a tough time being eternally separated from the one’s we love, even knowing one day we will be together again, in a greater capacity then while here on Earth.
Only the Holy Spirit can bring this relief, only the Holy Spirit can reach the recesses of one soul where this pain lingers.
Damn....
And develop an even deeper resolve to win. That was my point.
I am sorry but the line is “ Alright! saddle up, let’s get back into the war”!
I also agree PRAYERS UP!
Dear Lord, help me to be the kind of American citizen that is worthy of the sacrifice of 2nd Lt. James Cathey and his warrior companions. Hold his family to Thy breast, comfort them in this time of need.
I know a young lady that lost her husband - a spec ops warrior - she would completely understand that picture - no doubt.
Great, 40 year old male here, blubbering like a baby. That...is very touching.
DITTO
and
AMEN.
!
Beautiful.
