you are right -- good ideas and an ability to lead are the price of my support.
Sorry I don’t have a picture to post but......
The Goddess, Ann Coulter wrote a very favorable article about Mitt Romney only yesterday. She has been a staunch hunter supporter til then..... What about her? Does anybody value her opinion?
And that writing was put there by the liberal laimstream media. One state does not a race make. This election is about DELEGATES, not STATES and it's way, way too early to make such calls. The true test will come February 5th.
Every time I hear one of these political pundits claim that so and so is out if they don't win X, it just shows how they are (willfully) ignorant to the election process and how they are trying to drive the electorate into picking the candidate they most like (McCain) or the one they think is the easiest for the Dim nominee to beat (Huckabee).....I'm surprised so many folks here are falling for their tactics.....
As Rush has said many, many times, polls are used by the laimstream media to create news, not report news.....
I read her column, and if Rush and Annie make their judgements on who they want to support by observing who the libs hate least, we are in serious trouble.
Actually, I would bet that now that Rush and Annie ‘appear’ to support Romney, he will get attacked with force just to make Rush and Annie look bad...but, it is all a secret plot...they would be ‘endorsing’ the man they think is a lib to make the media attack him so they dont have to...
"Clear Channel owns over 1,100 full-power AM, FM, and shortwave radio stations, twelve radio channels on XM Satellite Radio, and more than 30 television stations in the United States. Premiere Radio Networks, which is the largest syndication company in the United States, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Clear Channel and is home to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and many others. Sean Hannity recently signed a large multi-market contract with Clear Channel, as well."
He is a total fraud!
I just wish Rush would move to XM. My local AM radio station that carries him is weak to start with, then there's a 1500' ridge between me and their transmitter. Reception is poor most days.
I had heard a rumor several years ago from someone closely tied to the ownership of Rush's show that they were waiting for some contracts to run their course and they had plans to move over to XM, but I never heard a date certain.....
Follow the money, as always.
Sirius and XM are merging, and I agree that Rush needs to be on SatRad. It is the future of radio. The only thing I listen too in my car is XM, or Sirus (according to which car I am in.) I listen to Rush on commercial radion, but then it is back to SatRad as quickly as possible.
It sounds like Limbaugh has been bought, too. He suffers from the same affliction as Hannity -- victory at any price. Romney has the cash, so they are jumping on the bandwagon, too.
It suggests a new definition of Rino....always before it indicated "liberal" republicans. It now indicates otherwise principled Republicans who view electoral victory as the one issue that will override their principles.
If they really are principled.
Yeah, me too. Just so you'll know how bad I've got XM fever, I have receptacles for XM receivers on both my tractors, my lawn mower, my golf cart, in both my airplanes, in my hangar, in all the cars and I have an XM boombox for times when I'm not using any of the above. We get Sirius on the Dish Network programming, too, an it usually provides background music around the house.....
It's a source of amazement to me that so many FReepers will continue to angrily deride Governor Romney as a RINO in spite of endorsements from many, many conservative sources.
Are you Mitt-haters keeping track of just how many conservative people are endorsing, supporting and/or praising him?
Let's see. Here are just some of them:
It's like all the lefties who called everyone they didn't like "fascist" in the 60's. The word has become watered down to the point that it now means "a Republican I don't like, or with whom I disagree".
As more and more conservatives line up behind Mitt, the rest of you who screech angrily against him only further destroy your own credibility.
Oh, and take a look at the Ronald Reagan quote I'm using for my tagline.
I have XM in my Honda, but Sirius elsewhere. I like Sirius better because it has NASCAR, and Radio MargarittaVille...Jimmy Buffett’s channel. However, they will be “one” very soon.
***However, honesty would be served by pointing out that Rushs words about the Governor began to change right after the purchase.***
When else would Rush start to give opinions about the conservative race which is just begining to heat up?
Does the NY Times, LA Times, Boston Globe, et al make an announcement that their owners are socialists every time they push for Hillary? Aren’t you happy that the conservatives are finally finding the power to hit back against communism?
Since Clear Channel recently sold to Bain Company, AND the Republican presidential race just started to heat up, I see no connection in Rush’s lauding Romney. Or would you say that the NY Times, the LA Times, the Boston Globe, et al should precede each push for Hillary with an announcement that their owners are socialists?
The night of Romney's win in Michigan, Limbaugh told Fox News (I think it was Fox):
"Republicans are now voting in large numbers, and they are voting for the Reagan conservative."
"Republicans finally had a chance to elect somebody we really want," Limbaugh added.
Limbaugh has repeatedly pointed out that ALL candidates have problems.
But he supports Romney, with Fred getting a close second.
This kind of reckless slander is pathetic.
How can you throw around such accusations about people of Mitt's and Rush's good character? Just how has Rush been "bought"? Are you accusing him of accepting a bribe from Mitt Romney?
Is there anything at all specific you'd like to point to other than the fact that Mitt is wealthy and is spending money in his campaign?
Do you know any successful national-level campaign that hasn't spent millions of dollars to get a candidate elected? Can you name even one in the recent past???
These kinds of accusations are flat out disgusting. They should be beneath a member of Free Republic to even post.
It sounds exactly like DU whining: "Waaaaah! That rich guy has more stuff than me! He must have cheated to get it! That candidate is rich, and he's having success, so he must be cheeeeeeeeaaaaatiiiiiingggg!!!! WAAAAAAH!"
Give it a rest already!
I’m with you. It is time for Atlas to shrug!
PARROT HEAD!
I like the Sirius bluegrass channel and their blues channel better than XM. Sometimes the XM blues channel wanders off into R&B "urban yodeling" and the XM bluegrass channel wanders more into "whiny country" than bluegrass.
Tom Petty does a show on XM called "Buried Treasure" that is really great. Everything from Motown classics of the 60's to toe tapping stuff from last week. Love that show! There's also one on XM 12 on Saturday morning that features Zydeco music from the low country. Love that one, too.....
It’s a long jump over that Romney shark.
But Rush has made it.
That is true!
Especially with the "unabashed" modifier....
On the other hand, Romney has governed from a fairly conservative point of view, even though he occasionally makes a dumb pandering PC statement in an attempt to appease the Democrat doofs.
If Fred was 10 years younger, or had a more dynamic physique and personality, he would win easily.
But it seems Fred has slowed down so much that he scares many good and decent conservatives like myself.
Although many don't want to admit, it takes a LOT of energy and stamina to run a 10-month campaign against the energized Dem-libs -- and to run the FREE WORLD for four and maybe eight years after that.
People rightly worry Fred might not be up to snuff.
