I agree that Huckabee said the right thing—that something like the display of a Confederate flag is a state or local issue. Problem is, I don’t think he would apply that same reasoning to every, or even most, state or local issue.
McQueeg was pandering to the anti-flaggers in 2004 and again now. Huckabee is pandering to pro-Southern-heritage folks like me and you right now, and unfortunately, far too many are buying what he’s selling and not looking at the entire picture. I don’t even believe, at this point, what he says about the flag in particular.
Agreed 100% on McCain, btw. And I’ll take half-wrong...just ask my wife, that’s a pretty good batting average for me. :)

as i've said, while i KNOW Huck, i'm NOT one of his supporters.
fwiw, that's as close as i can come to telling which conservative that i'm PRIVATELY "pulling for". (i'm a state election judge & cannot take a PUBLIC stand on the primary, though i CAN say that i'm a member of the state GOP committee, so i will NOT be voting in the DIMocRATS primary.)
