(CNBC's leftist liberal shill:) John Harwood on Fred Thompson: 'It's Over!'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 01/19/2008 5:27:28 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

H/t David Shuster. What's that? David Shuster, liberal MSNBC avenger, now a NewsBusters source? Not exactly, but read on . . .

Watching a special Saturday-morning edition of Morning Joe today, I was surprised by CNBC chief DC correspondent John Harwood's willingness to pronounce Fred Thompson's political epitaph even before voters went to the South Carolina primary polls today. Shuster was similarly struck, going so far as to suggest a headline.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: What about Fred Thompson,? Is it the end of the line, John, for him tonight, or is there a way he can rejuvenate his campaign?

Yup I saw this live!

I was soo pissed. The Polls just opened!

What a way to tell Fred voters that their votes won’t count.

Well, that's the purpose, isn't it? Before it was The Politico, now it's MSNBC.

Polls are simply a method to determine the effectiveness of MSM propoganda.

They also said he might stay in just to help out his buddy John McCain.

The WSJ got rid of this liberal turkey, and he is now roosting at the NYT. He has no credibility commenting on GOP politics.

If Fred goes then I have a hunch so will many of his supporters. They were hanging onto him as their only hope of nominating a true conservative. That chance seems to be dwindling with each passing day.

Yep. Can't be having a REAL President.

Rudy McRombee has been anointed to be president and the peasants better get damn well used to it!

Well they were bashing Huckabee and Romney pretty hard too early on. The only person they praised was McCain.

But just as I pronounced Joe Scarborough unwatchable, he’s starting to come back alive. Shuster went on and on about how Nevada was so important for the dems, but not the Republicans. Scarborough picked up on this, and said once again, this shows that the MSM hates Mitt Romney. He was kind of clowning around about it, but made his point, and it’s true!

This might be obvious, but the media want McCain or Huckabee, our weakest conservatives, to win the nomination. So they’re marginalizing Hunter, Thompson and Romney, because people who don’t pay much attention to politics (unlike us, here) just go by what they see on TV. Their tactics seem to be working to some extent, and it takes someone with tons of cash like Romney to be able to overcome their bias.

“If Fred goes then I have a hunch so will many of his supporters.”

If Fred goes, I predict his supporters will follow him straight to support of his buddy John McShamnesty.

That crap has been posted several times on this board. Got any backup, beyond your own imagination?

No surprises here. Polls haven't even opened yet. Suppression of the vote by the biased media, who have been wrong the last three primary votes so far.

You would think they would be embarrassed by the New Hampshire and Michigan votes, which they were clearly wrong on their so-called predictions. But no, they have their agenda to elect Democrats, and nothing is going to get in their way.

I'm not buying these polls. I think what we have are pollsters trying to influence the outcome of an election, with the media propagandists actively spreading for their own agenda. It's more blatant than it has ever been.

I’m sick of the media. They’re pulling all the strings and the sheeple follow along. I used to have Faux News on 24/7 but now it’s silent at this house.

In Iowa, Fred was going to drop out and endorse McCain. New Hampshire, Michigan, not a contender. Didn’t compete, but still not a contender. Now this?
Talk about voter suppression.

Polls are simply a method to determine the effectiveness of MSM propoganda.

Actually, polls are used to drive the MSM propaganda.....particularly so-called "push polls" like the Huckster is using right now.....

Last night O’Rielly showed a poll of SC. It had Romney at 15% and Thompson at 11%. Then O’Rielly flat out lied and said, “Romney is at 15% and Thompson is at 10%, and if Thompson doesn’t up his numbers, he will be dropping out.”

Thompson was clearly at 11% but O’Rielly said 10%. Not much of a difference, but still.

It is raining over all of South Caroline now. When with the official thread start?

A large part of the state will get about 1” of snow this afternoon in a “wintery mix” forecast.

Wonder how that will affect turnout? I bet the casual supporters stay home and the passionate supporters turn out. That could bode well for Fred.
