Darwin's theory would have predicted that because dark-coated sheep appear fitter that they would do better than light-coated sheep, until only dark-coated sheep remained in the population.

But they didn't do better. How could he win again when his theory would have made the wrong prediction?

If you read the article, you find the quote you selected to highlight was proven false by science. “Appearing fitter” isn’t part of Darwin’s Theory. Reproductive advantage is.
