Rudy is characterized, I think a bit unfairly, as the pro-choice candidate.

If you are the guest speaker at a pro-abortion dinner it is easy to get that reputation.

“It tells me that independents and Democrats infiltrated the GOP primary”

EXACTLY!
And, the CNN information regarding whether the voter described himself as liberal moderate or conservative, the MAJORITY of McCain voters said they were NOT conservative.....

They’re both stupid and ignorant! PRO-LIFE candidate Duncan Hunter got 3% of the abortion vote? How can this be?

The voters down there were truly clueless, at least in that case.

And another thing - MSNBC is stating that the economy and illegal immigration were most important to SC GOP voters. So why the hell (yes I’m mad) would they support McCain?

The Conservative bloc is in disarray because we have no Conservatives to vote for.

Hillary is coming back to the WH in 2008.

Texas needs to split into 5 states, that way Rs would at least control the Senate.

What this data shows is that Fred is not getting evangelical support, which he must have. He got totally screwed by Dobson when he said Fred wasn’t Christian enough. Fred got only 15% of the born again vote. McCain got more than that and Huck got 40%. Also, Fred is clearly not getting his message out when both McCain and Huck get substantially more of the pro-life and “deport the illegals” votes. The Republican party is dying before our eyes.

McCain is getting a huge number of liberal votes.

That would have been horrid.

How would you like to have to support a VP candidate saddled with Bush's low poll numbers, having to support the president's amnesty bill, etc etc. It would be a disaster. And you wouldn't be supporting that veep, you'd be supporting someone else. But the veep would have enough establishment support to win the nom and then loose the general.

A Republican can win, but there is no way Bush would get 'third term.'

Who would you rather have replacing Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Hillary or McCain?

McCain would likely name a squishy moderate like Sandra Day O’Conner.

That would be a slight improvement over anybody that Hillary would nominate.

Yep. We’ve played the compromise game so long that when it comes down to the line, we don’t know where it is drawn.

Sorry, this assumes that Bush would have rubbed his political brain cells together and realized at some point in 2006 that his amnesty bill was killing the GOP and that it not only should be scrapped, but turned into something the GOP could hammer the DEMOCRATS with.

Bush has badly fumbled the political football since 2004. Pathetically, even.

"Only one term for HRC - no way she wins twice."

With two or three Supreme Court Appointments, that would be the death of America if she were to gain even ONE 4-year term.

McCain.

I would also rather have the military in his hands, not hers.

That’s not enough for Fred Thompson! The U.S. is finished! Hello long-term socialism for the U.S. What are conservatives truly supposed to do next with nobody left to truly move conservative principles forward?

mccain actually voted for Bork.
Bork now supports Romney. But I highly doubt Romney would appoint someone like Bork.
