The SC exit poll numbers for illegal immigration are astounding, 30% Huckabee, 24% McCain, 20% Thompson, Romney 17%, Hunter 1%. What the ??? Sounds like voters are just buying wholesale the MSM line of bull.
McKennedy is MSM’s candidate.
He is not a conservative.
The media keeps saying how much money Mitt spent in SC , but I you can go to the bank on it...McKennedy spent a load of cash. I live on the NC/SC border and he had ads going every 15 minutes on several nets 24/7.
Fred Thompson can’t rise if he’s going to drop out soon! Fred will truly have to do more than he has done to this point to seriously have a chance for victory! His SC numbers truly should be better than what they are. You are being too optimistic about Fred Thompson’s chances, IMHO! I should be upset when I’m being forced to see the dying of both the Republican Party and U.S. “conservatism”! Wait until amnesty for illegal immigrants is carried out “to the max” throughout the U.S. and illegals are also allowed to vote in all future U.S. elections! There’s truly no way that any remaining conservatives here could ever match the numbers of new voters that the “political left” creates from the endless waves of illegal immigrants that will be coming here and existing here in the future! This is beyond frustrating for everybody here who truly believes in conservatism in the U.S.!
I didn't set the line. Thompson did. He may eek out 3rd, but it is by a nose. At best, 84% of South Carolinans voted for someone else. It's better than it could have been, but still not too promising.
The big loser in this is Huckabee. He's not nearly out of it, but he is the one most hurt. Romney may be embarrassed, but he has quite a bit of support in other places.
Thompson goes on, but he is at best still number four in the race.
If you think social conservatives and evangelicals will flock to Giuliani or McCain, you are sadly mistaken. They will lose enough GOP votes to prevent them from defeating the Democrats.
I wonder how much McCain has left in funds after the South Carolina buys. I believe he has already pledged to accept public financing in the general election, provided the democrat candidate does the same, as has Obama.
The word "fumbled" implies failure. I don't believe that very much, or anything that bush has/hasn't done was a failure of his goals. Our Conservative aspirations, yes, but I believe that bush is in control, and accomplishing his arcane and mysterious goals. The southern border being the main case in point.
On to Florida. Now that my #1 choice is out, I'm going with Huckabee. My sister likes him. My dad likes him. They like him even better than I do. My husband has switched to him recently. So now I will join that bunch. Puts me at odds with 98% of FReepers but that's the way it goes. More out here in the real world seem to be with me.

I did. So far, those are the ones I would not vote for, even if they ran unopposed.
I will always refuse to vote for either John McCain or Mike Huckabee because both of them are too unacceptable to conservatives on too many issues to vote for!
