Rush-Declare your Support for Fred in Florida (Fred Needs to Boost-Vanity)
My Frustration ^ | awake-n-angry

Posted on 01/19/2008 7:33:26 PM PST by awake-n-angry

Rush Lives in Florida so I am only asking him to take an active roll in the primary going on in his state. I know he has stayed out of it but his choice is clear from his comments. Come out of the closet Rush. Choose, support and give a boost to the only real conservative in the primary. Do you really want to keep quiet and watch McCain take the oath?

I am afraid it's even worse than that. I still suspect that Rush has been a closet Rudy lover all along.

If so:

Last chance to redeem yourself, Rush. Endorse Fred now!!

I thought Rush already endorsed Fred on Friday....
not verbally, only by his "suggestions" to his listeners...as to the "weaknesses" of his (Freds) competitors.

It’s beginning to look more and more like McCain is going to be the nominee. If he wins Fla., he’s the nominee.

Obviously, Rush does not want McCain, and will direct voters to the candidate who he thinks has the best chance of beating him, which is probably Romney. But he is not going to put his feet in cement, because it’s entirely possible that McCain will win.

I wonder how Rush would handle that. Possibly he would urge McCain to make conservative commitments... Try to get comfortable with the notion that McCain might pass as a conservative. It will be pretty hard, though, I think.

After the debates Rush ran bites from each GOP debate. He would say after Mitt’s comments: “That’s conservative , folks”

He has constantly made it pretty clear he supports the ideologies of Fred and Mitt.

To say Mitt is a flip flopper is overlooking McKennedy’s flips...in the campaign. Now he wants the Bush tax cuts made permanent? The ones he voted against?????

Here's what's been going on at FR for the past couple months: it's overwhelmingly for Fred, but in the grand scale of things the voting public is overwhelmingly for everybody else.

And folks don't see it yet. It's group-think on this board and it's not matching reality.

More than a few posters have said "South Carolina will be Fred's breakout state." Well, he broke to third place.

Instead of the constant drum-beat of Fred, Fred, Fred on FR, it should have been the feet hitting the pavement in the real world. For gosh sake, it's 60-some percent saturation here on FR. You've won. You should have moved to the areas where it's 15% for Fred - which at this point appears to be a lot of places.

another analogy would be his sailboat was given a nice shove away from the docks late and even though he is a schooner of Conservative credentials there wasn’t enough wind out there by that time to snare his jib

Fred should call on some celebrity. He has a number of supporters he could call on. He also needs to better plan events by taking some notes from Huckabee.

Unfortunately, after tonight (to paraphrase Monty Python’s Parrot Sketch) this candidacy wouldn’t voom if you put four million volts through it.

Defeating Rudy is more important than any other political goal this year and FR has assisted in achieving that goal.

Now that Duncan has bowed out Anne Coulter could jump in as well

Ann Coulter endorsed Romney.
She said, "My thinking was that Romney would be our nominee because he is manifestly the best candidate."

"At worst, Romney will turn out to be a moderate Republican -- a high-IQ, articulate, moral, wildly successful, moderate Republican."

I believe Rush is a Romney fan too.

It's not that as much as he's very anti McCain.

But then again, so am I. What part of "Congress shall make no law" is so hard to understand? What other parts of the Constitution does he think are optional? The man is a domestic enemy of the Constitution.

(I also don't want him near Air Force One, he might add it to his "bag" of US Military Aircraft. )

I have to say that Fred’s supporters here are, what shall I say and still be polite...they are living in another dimension.

Fred deserves better than a bunch of deluded maniacs who can’t face reality. He’s a good man and a good conservative. But he’s a pathetically poor candidate who never had a chance.

His supporters here keep saying, just wait...He’s gonna surge in Iowa. He’s gonna surge in SC. Well, in the states that he surges, he runs a distant third. Without the surge, he is last or second to last, and often behind Ron Paul.

Face it, folks. Fred’s campaign isn’t dead, it never began.

That twitching of his corpose isn’t a sign of life. There is no surge. He’s finished.

And that’s ok. If conservatives hope to influence this nomination process, then we have only one choice. We have to unite NOW behind Romney. He’s not perfect, far from it.

But he’s more conservative and more electable than either Huckabee (who will be painted as a crazed Taliban preacher) or McCain (whose faults are too numerous to list).

I think Fred, being a good man and a good conserative, will move on. At least I hope so.

McCain is the one to beat, no matter how disgusting the prospect of him winning the nomination is.

And it's pretty disgusting. Hillary will eat him alive, and even B. Hussein would probably clean his clock.

Although it really still is early, it's possible that the Republicans just handed the election to the DemonRats.

Now if "Heller" goes wrong, it's

BOHICA

Yep, he's very anti-McCain.

McCain is a politician who happens to be a Republican. Rush esp. dislikes his pandering and kissing up to the drive-by media.

And campaign finance reform, illegal immigration amnesty, the judicial deal with the Moderate Seven... and the list goes on.

One risks more than backing a sure losing candidate if one backs Romney; One risks losing one's integrity.

Exactly. I fear that if Romney somehow gets elected, a lot of these conservatives who backed him are going to feel like the pigeon who tried to cash the con man's check....
