Folks, please take a gander back to the year 2000. George Bush beat leftist lunatic Al Gore by an infintesimal amount and only after numerous court decisions, rampaging Cubans, etc. Bush actually LOST the popular vote.

You don’t write in Santa Claus, you don’t wait for the democrats to wreck the country (and they will) so that then everybody votes your way in the future. I’ve written this before, I live in a town where the republicans said that when they first lost control, and it’s gotten so bad the GOP didnt even field a candidate last time!

You make a decision like a responsible citizen and you vote in your presidential election and you don’t vote for Hilary, a third party, or yourself.

Here endeth the lesson.

I am not giving up on Fred because this race is still wide open. All the folks who thing Rudy has Florida in his pocket might just be wrong. I have also heard on various thareads that 40% have already voted in Florida. 40% of all voters means nothing to me right now. If they said 40% of Republican voters, that would mean something. In all of the calling I have done to absentee Registered Republicans, none of the folks told me they had already voted. All said they were looking at the candidates and had not decided yet. They all showed interest in Fred and some did say they liked Fred. I know that McCain and Huckabee will fade soon and I see the chance for Fred to make another surge after the debate from Palm BEach this coming Thursday. I am with Fred through Super Tuesday if he is still fighting!

It should be clear to all here that we are just a small minority within the Republican party. You have a so called conservative state of South Carolina where two thirds of the primary vote went to McCain or the Huckster. The bottom line is that we could not elect a dog catcher with just our votes.

So the choice for us boils down to Rudy or Romney. Romney’s current views are closer to ours, but Rudy is arguably more electable. Who knows? It’s all very depressing.

“know what I won’t do - and that’s vote for McCain. Some may say, but that means Hillary or Obama will win!”

Duh, ya think?

Part of me wants the dems to win this one. I fear the economy is in for a rough ride, and if we have a RINO president pursuing liberal policies, it will only harm true conservatism, which appears to be nearly dead. As much as I fear a Hillary presidency, I try to remember that it took a Jimmy Carter to get us a Ronald Reagan.

Why don’t you do what I did? I looked for the very best person who shared my conservative values and voted for him. A lot can happen in the next ten months. If Fred isn’t there at the end then I will vote for anyone but a democrat and just hold my nose. ;-)

Ann Coulter had this to say:

What do I think of Governor Romney’s candidacy for presidency? I think he’s probably our best candidate. I mean, I think it is fair to say — and this is coming from someone who supported Pete DuPont, Alan Keyes, Pat Buchanan, Steve Forbes. So, you know, it’s not like I won’t go for an underdog. But I think we have to be serious about this, and I think our choice is among Gingrich, Giuliani, McCain and Romney. And Giuliani is very, very liberal. When this country gets to the point — I mean, I have a love letter to him in my current book, Godless. What he did for New York was magnificent. But when this country gets to the point where both presidential candidates support abortion, I think we can hang it up as a country.

And McCain, I think has some problems, because everyone who supports him would have to switch party registrations to vote for him. I love Gingrich. I think he’s brilliant. He was crucial, the man for his time. We don’t know if he’s running for president, but assuming he is, I kind of think his time has passed, and I don’t know, you know, it could come back again, like ’80s music, but I think his time is over. And you have to say about Romney, he tricked liberals into voting for him. I like a guy — I like a guy who hoodwinks liberals so easily. And also, the one thing that I have a very soft spot for is that I love Mormons. And the reason why I love Mormons, well, among other things, is — you may have forgotten this — Bill Clinton in Utah in 1992 came in third in Utah. Now, that’s a fine state.

I agree. What the hell is going on? Who the heck is supporting Huckleberry? What kind of republican would support McCain??? It’s madness to see what’s happening to the republican party. The liberals have taken over.

I can respect that decision, but before you make that final. Please consider the troops in war zones. They deserve the best Commander possible. A Democrat can’t provide that for them. If they weren’t deployed I’d be all for the wilderness path. However you decide..best wishes.

If McCain is the nominee it doesn’t mean a Democrat will win.
He’s the only one who can beat either of them (just ask all of those MSM pundits). But this conservative will not vote for McCain for just that reason.

Let’s see what Fred does first between now and Super Tuesday. If he fails, I think Romney gets my support.

The posters who swear they won’t vote for a particular republican always have one thing in common - it’s all about them. They write about promises to themselves, they yell about what “I won’t do!”, they tell you their age, or what they’re tired of.

I’ve known a couple of these close up. I can only speak from that personal experience that they are the most selfish, self righteous hypocrites I have ever known (not the posters here, people I know in real life). They will lose control and grit their teeth as they spit about how they will never vote for so and so.

And they actually think the whole thing is about them and only them. It isn’t.
