I lived in San Diego in the 80’s. In the 90’s my SIL and I went back to CA because she’d never been there, and she wanted to drive along Highway 101.

So, we’re driving north from San Diego, and we get to Long Beach. I say, “This is where we turn around and stay alive.”

We have given in to gangs. We have given in to illegal immigration. We are poised to give in to the march of the RINOs. We gave in to fiscal irresponsibility. We gave in to large ‘great society’ programs. We gave in to the Department of Education and their sick agenda for our children. We gave in to NPR and PBS. We gave in to the U.N., the I.C.C. We gave in to the W.T.O. We gave in to tens of thousands of people from terrorist states who wanted to come to the U.S. on education visas. We’re fixing to give in to the Palestinians.

Some party we have become.

Each of these problems could be corrected. They just never will, because it has now become impossible to elect anyone from either party who actually gives a —— about any of this.

Some nation we have become. We ought to be ashamed.

I used to have friends who lived in Long Beach in the 70s. Back then there were many areas which were fine to live in, but were starting to turn. I recall one girl’s moving because they found a dead body in a dumpster behind her apartment.
