If this is true, Romney wins Florida just like Bush did, Rudy is 2nd, McQueeg is 3rd.

Yeah, but it doesn't matter whether Rudy finishes 2nd or 3rd or 4th in FL. He won't be able to continue, which means McCain gets to work on NY and NJ and he's ahead or narrowly behind to Rudy in both places. McCain is leading in MD. McCain is leading in CT. He's leading in CA. He's leading in VT. He's going to start to pile up wins once 2/5 gets here.

Michael Steele, the black suit with the big ears? He’s a RINO, thru and thru. He’d be a TERRIBLE choice as VP.

Gov. Matt Blunt of Missouri or Rep. Marsha Blackburn of TN as VP...

You’re right. A vote for McCain is a way to avoid amnesty legislation.

Dole was an American Hero as well. He didn’t make a good President either. And he lost to a Clinton as well.

Have you studies his work in Mass. He vetoed many bills that affected abortion. He was tough on pro choicers. The gay marriage thing was not his fault. I know that is what you are basing your decision on.

Sorry, but McCain’s temper and temperment make me nervous with him as CIC even if he does support the war on terror. All of his other stands are far from conservative. At least Romney is level headed.

WHAT? Are you not aware of the McCain/Kennedy amnesty bill?

Romney is a Democrat regardless of what he will do because he means we elect Hillary or Obama.

Dont buy the CW that Romney can't beat Hitlery. He's not as well known as she, but he governed in a liberal state which gives him more national inroads than he's being given for, at this time. Bush Sr made up over 20 points since summer and its early yet. She has a ceiling of under 50 %, and nothing unites the Republicans like she does.

MCcain is anathema to the bigwig Conservatives in the party , and has so many hidden negatives, its not funny. He and Huckleberry are the only 2 who are doomed against her, IMO.

Methinks you rely too much on the MSM

VP picks either play defense or offense. If you pick people from the South, that just means Electoral Votes you already have punch the chad harder, but you don’t get any more chads.

Better to play offense and attack. Make a grab for blue EVs. Perhaps Pawlenty in Minnesota. When the Democrats hold Congress, chest beating conservatives have no particular value as anything other than a lightning rod to help Reid and Pelosi build veto override consensus.

If you want very conservative positions, win Congressional seats In The North — where we lost so many in 2006.

Thompson may be out according to Laura Ingraham. If the numbers hold it will become clear to everyone but McInsane that he's done. The McHuckster might as well pack his bags and Rudy, too.

Leaving Romney and Ron Paul!!!

mccain doesn’t have the physical or mental temperament to be president anymore. It’s as simple (and sad) as that.

Romney/Watts 2008

The country doesn't have patience for someone who can only manage to speak five words per minute.

In Michigan one of the polls reported on already voted, and reported Romney took those 3-1. You would think the poll would find someone who had voted in that case. I haven’t voted because I am old, have this irrational fear that my vote will get lost if i vote early. yes i know it is irrational but I like voting the day of.

Speak for yourself. I like Romney. So he has a political edge? So what? Gotta pretty much have that to win the presidency. I have seen mccain and huck do the dance and parse the truth everytime I see them on TV.

No. My decision is based on the fact that Romney cannot win. What don’t you people understand??? He CANNOT win. We will lose in a massive landslide. How can we give the Dems a mandate? How will you live with yourselves when you make up the day after election day and we have lost the South even to Hillary and suffered defeats in the senate that may or may not leave us clinging to 40 votes. Jesus, I cannot belive this is the likely outcome. And what will happen is now as clear as day to me...

Mac and Rudy split the moderate vote in FL. Romney wins. Romney writes a massive check and buys a divisive victory on 5 Feb. Party is divided, demoralized. We lose 35-40 states and possibly our 40 seat buffer. God help us.

The Dems will govern with a major mandate. 55% or so in the popular vote. The GOP will go into hiding for decades. Last time it took us 40 years to come back.
